I Have Moved

I have decided to move to wordpress so pls read my new posts at http://madyjune.wordpress.com . It's still incomplete and I will try to edit them whenever I get the time. One thing for sure, I won't be adding cbox to my widget 'cuz I prefer to get comments on my posts instead.

As for my Myanmar blog, I will still post at blogger. I got a subdomain address from MyanmarBloggers.org so my blog can be browsed via that domain name but I still need to configure it at Blogger.

Thadingyut Weekend Part II

We went to Yankin Center and chatted a bit at Seasons but I was keeping quiet most of the times as my mouth hurts whenever I tried to talk due to the blisters insdie my mouth. Since I swore to myself that I will never order coffee for that place again, I ordered chocolate milkshake. When we go out, she drove us to the library. I wasn’t thinking of borrowing another book again but I ended borrowing another Grisham novel. Then we went to Latha and she bought a blouse in a shop. Just as I had suspected in the first place, she wanted to introduce me to a guy and I had to go to Moon Bakery to meet him. She introduced us and started talking but I wasn’t interested in their conversation. The place was too noisy for me and I was feeling frustrated but when I cheered up after watching Sunflower music video by Antibiotic, He commented that I am just a quiet person like my sister so I just smiled at him in reply. But in my head, I was saying to myself, “That’s what you think.”. I was really just staying quiet ‘cuz no. 1, my mouth hurts when I talk, no. 2 I don’t like talking to strangers and no. 3 I hate it when I am expected to become friends with him just because my friend wants me to.

The meeting didn’t take long and we left the place around 4pm. My friend wanted to wait for the air-con bus so I waited for the bus with her for 30 mins. My feet were already tired and a lot of buses which reached directly to my home had already passed by so many times. When the air-con bus arrived, we got on but we couldn’t sit next to each other till Thein Phyu bus stop. The aircon wasn’t that cool at all and worst of all, the bus was playing I.C Acoustic album. I don’t hate I.C band but I dislike having to listen to them on the bus. Whenever I happened to ride that air-con bus, I always have to listen to I.C singers album. That air-con bus didn’t reach my home directly so I got off with her and went home. I was hoping to eat Shwe Yin Aye but it got spoiled as I arrived home around 5pm. It was really a lousy day for me and I really wasted my times going out. The only thing I’m happy about is that the new book I borrowed from the library.. After I’m through with this book, I will ask my friend to return it for me but I won’t go with her anymore. I will made a new member next month so I can go there on Sundays whenever I want. Plus, since I usually go there twice a month, I can check out the latest kdrama DVD arrivals in Latha DVD shops. She has no patient with me to go to the shop with me ‘cuz I usually take a long time analyzing the available dramas and picking out which I want to buy.

I wasn’t in the sulky mood for long as I started to continue reading Coffee Price and I finished it around 11:30 pm. I have to say this was the best Korean novel I have ever read. I have read some fanfics before including Temptation of Wolf but since this one is an actual novel and the translator did a wonderful job. Not sure if these words are really mentioned in English in the original novels but I just love these words the translator used, :”EnChanting”, “Hankyulistic” and “HanKyulious”. Although I love the novel, I am really glad that the plot isn’t quite the same. If you love the drama, I recommend you all to check out the novel also but if you just want to know the difference, you can either read the whole novel or read summaries written by javabeans.

Sunday was the usual, not much activities as I stayed home all day. I watched Time of Wolf & Dog dvd and Over the Rainbow movie aired on MWD. I would have prefer to watch the movie with English subs but I couldn’t find it anywhere. So I just had to be satisfied with watching Lee Jung Jae on TV. I was continuing watching the drama after the movie when my cousin and her family came over to bow to my parents. My parents have received a lot of food already from relatives and neighbors who also came to bow to them and pay respect. I still haven’t go to see my relatives yet ‘cuz I’m waiting for my father to get some free times. Most of the times, we just visit my grandmother and aunt & uncle from my father’s side and my uncle and aunt from my mother side. I always enjoy going over to my uncle’s place ever since I was a kid ‘cuz they always give out a lot of foods in return. My friend told me that she got a lot of pocket money from her relatives but I rarely get pocket money from my relatives but at least my uncles gives out our favorite cakes and cookies :).

After dinner, my family watched Time of Wolf & Dog while I buried myself in Grisham novel. I was pissed off at them for talking about the drama plot while watching the drama. Next time, I will hide the new drama dvds till I have finished watching them. I really hate spoilers but they couldn’t keep their mouth shut. At sometimes I actually have to put hands over my ears (yeah…I’m over reacting but…) ‘cuz their voices even reached downstairs and they were at the last episode.

Thadingyut Weekend Part I

I had a 3 days weekend holiday as Thadingyut was on Friday and our admin closed off Saturday for us to have a nice rest during the holiday.

I spent the first day doing nothing much beside reading and watching dramas. I finished reading John Grisham's The Rain Maker as it was due on Saturday. It was a bit boring at first but the plot got interesting when the trial started. There's a movie based on the novel but I still haven't watched it yet.

The second novel I read is an English translation of the original Coffee Prince novel. I didn't know someone translated it and posted at xanga till last Thursday. Since I didn't have time to read at work, I copied all of the blog posts and started reading them. Although the drama was based on the novel, the plot is a bit different but I like both version. Whenever Han Kyul named is mentioned, I started picturing Gong Yoo so I like his character the most in the novel :). I have to stop myself several times to stop daydreaming about him while reading.

I also watched a few episodes of Harvard 'cuz I wanted to return the dvd back to my coworker soon. Although I like the actor and the actress a lot, the drama is a bit boring and I couldn't help fast forwarding some scenes as I was getting bored. This has to be the second drama that I ever fast forwarded while watching. The reason I didn't like this drama that much is because my taste in kdrama has changed a bit overtime. A few years, I might have been hooked on to this drama but now I prefer to watch comedy romance, mysteries and action dramas. I didn't finish watching the drama but I am returning the dvd back now 'cuz I'm just too lazy to watch till the end and rewatch ep 1-8 since I skipped them to avoid the bad English conversations.

The next day was a really tiring day for me. I made plans with my friend to go to the library to return the books. I wanted to go there earlier but she only wanted to go after 2pm. I suspected that she was planning to meet someone afterward but I didn't want to complain as I was asking her to borrow the books for me. My card expired after June and I haven't made a new one yet. Another friend which we have lost contact due to personal reasons wanted to meet all of us so she made plans to pick us up and go to a coffee shop. I know my friend didn't want to go and I didn't want to go either but I didn't want to sound rude so I agree to meet her. I had planned to finish my house works first before going out so I can rest on Sunday without works to do but I didn't get much done as she was coming around 12. She and my friend arrived a bit early so they waited while me and my sis finished our lunch. Lunch was papaya salad and fried water sprout but I had to eat fast and didn't have time to enjoy my lunch. I wanted to eat Shwe Yin Aye for dessert but I didn't have enough time to do so.

The Meaning of "Retard"

retard : offensive term: an offensive term that deliberately insults somebody with a learning disability or somebody regarded as unintelligent (slang insult)

I am sure most of you already know what retard is supposed to mean but one certain person had made a mistake of calling disable people retards in an interview. I am surprised to read that he who acted as a disable person affected with polio (poliomyelitis) used the harsh word 'retard'. He said that among his fans, there is a retard girl and I took after her. I observed the Retards. I have to say he's my least favorite actor and singer and I never have any respect for this person. But my mother who happened to be at one of the shooting of the film said even she who disliked him was amazed with his acting. Maybe he doesn't really understand the full meaning of the word. I have to admit that I have used that word quite often in the past and still used it sometimes at present but I have never offended any disable person. I don't think his fan will like being called a retard. If he was in another country, he will surely be attacked back the media and the netizens. Such similar case has happened to a popular boy band members before although they didn't mean to offend them at all but a lot of people got offended by it. I was quite mad at their previous management company for releasing the video, probably on purpose, at that time.

Delicious Meals on the Weekends

This weekend, things just passed by smoothly. I was done with my work by 2 pm on Saturday but I have to wait for a friend till 5pm so I spent most of the times surfing entertainment blogs. I was quite bored to death and I wanted to go home but I had to wait for her as I promised her to come with me to meet our friend. We went to her house first and then we went to a nearby Rakhine Moat Tee shop. The food wasn't that great anymore. I rarely go there but there wasn't any other place to eat for a small snack. There was still some times left so we have some cool drinks at another shop nearby and chatted for awhile. We parted around 7pm. I asked my friend to come to my place on Sunday if she's free and she said that she will come.

The next day, I was still doing my chores when she arrived. She and I watched 200 Pounds of Beauty and ate lunch with a really tasty lemon salad (shauk tee toke). Since my sister wasn't around, I asked my cousin to add chili peppers to the salad and that was why the food was delicious. My cousin cooked Rakhine Moat Tee for a short snack so we drank the soup while having our lunch. My friend was midway through watching the film so she continued watching while I lost interest in. By that time, my sister and my mother had come back home and my sister was a bit occupied with taking out old photos to share with a friend. She met her online after seeing her profile on Facebook. That girl was my friend's sister. My friend isn't the kind of person to take interest in social networking sites but maybe I can invite her after I join the site.

My friend had to leave early at 3 pm and I had nothing much to do. So in order to kill some time, I checked out some old Myanmar movies my friend downloaded for me from BurmeseClassics. The first film starred Win Oo and as I am a big fan of him, I checked it out first. But I got disappointed 'cuz he only guest starred in the movie and the lead actor is surely not my idea of an actor. I guess he only became an actor 'cuz he was an adoptive son of Win Oo. I lost intrest immediately as the film was quite crappy so I checked out another movie. My mother had been wanting to watch it so I asked my friend to download for her but I never got the chance to check it out. It's a really old black & white movie with bad quality and I only understood half of it but it was a movie worth watching 'cuz I get to learn a lot about the Lisu and their lifestyle. It was the first Myanmar film to shoot in Putao area and I think it was filmed back in the 70s.

For Dinner, my cousin cooked Chicken Kar La Thar Chet. It's a mixture between normal chicken dish and chicken soup but it's spicy. It became one of my favorite dish after eating it in Kalaw but sadly it didn't taste quite the same. I complained about it and my father told me that the reason it was tasty and different from usual was because marijuana was probably added in the food. I nearly lost my appetite after hearing that.

Lee Junki's New Drama

Lee Jun Ki who rose to stardom with his feminine clown role in "The King and the Clown" is returning to a historical drama series in an opposite persona.

Lee Jun Ki has been cast as the leading role in "Iljimae" a 20 episode historical drama series to be aired on SBS. He will display his strong charisma through 'Iljimae' who is considered a chivalrous robber of the time.

Lee Jun Ki's manager Kim Woo Jin commented, "He has selected characters that emphasized his manliness since 'The King and the Clown' and this character seems to be at the peak of his efforts."

In the drama series "Iljimae," Lee Jun Ki will play a character who acts as a usless gangster in the marketplace by day and a chivalrous robber by night.

The series will start filming in November with a location shoot in China as well.

Lee Jung Jae

I have always liked him ever since I watched II Mare but he wasn't added to my favorite actor till I finished watching Air City. I do admit that my favorite actor list is pretty long. I can't get enough of Air City. I want to see him in a drama again but I think he's more into acting for films rather than dramas. He looks the best when he smiles. My favorite scenes in Air City are when Choi Ji Woo is mad at him about something and he just smiles directly in her face and later on she ended up smiling as well.

I've finished Air City last week but I feel like repeating it again. Maybe after I buy the dvd, then I will watch it back. I have many pending dramas to finish at the moment.

Korean Movies & Dramas DVDs

My biggest weakness is buying DVD dramas. I just can't resist buying one when I see my favorite dramas on DVD. Most of my money are spent on DVDs every month. Just yesterday, I promised my mother that I won't buy any more kdrama (for this month which I said to myself) but when I saw Coffee Prince and Time of Wolf and Dog, I can't resist buying them. I've already watched Coffee Prince but I want to watch it again. Both of the drama subtitles are good so these are really worth buying but in Coffee Prince, the last episode was cut off in the middle for around 8 mins including my favorite scene of Han Kyul singing Naw Ruu Sarang Hae. Wahhh....not fair. I really really love that part so much and they had to cut it off. This is the disadvantage of buying those dvds imported from China. All 17 episodes were placed in one disc. I rather buy a 2 disc DVD just to see that part. I wish I can buy the original version but as long as I'm staying in Myanmar, I can't afford to buy it :(.

I never have any problems with other dvds 'cuz the only other dvd that was cut off at the end is Goong. (and it was my favorite drama at that time) I was pissed off at that time but now I have the original version thanks to Ko SomeoneNull and Ma Yee Mon with better quality. I wonder if I should give this to someone else and wait for another version to come out but how am I supposed to know if that dvd has complete episodes?

My brother said I buy too much Korean DVDs but I hardly buy English movies. I told him to buy them by himself but he doesn't want to spend his money on DVDs so instead he complains every time he see a Korean DVD at home. The last English dvd I bought was a collection of movies targeted towards kids but I still haven't watch all of them yet. I rarely watch back an English movie after I seen it. The only movies I enjoy watching over and over again are the first Star War trilogy, not the new ones from episode 1 to 3. I love them so much and I am beginning to memorize some of the lines by now.

I spent most of my money on Korean dramas 'cuz it's hard to download from the internet and not many buy them so I can't rent from them. Some of them rather buy dramas with Myanmar subs but I hate watching them so I start my own collection, buying 2 or 3 dramas every month but I haven't manage to finish them all. I don't buy Korean movies DVDs that much 'cuz most of the collections contains movies I don't want to watch or are already in my possession. I miss those 8 in 1 DVDs 'cuz the quality is better than the later 12 in 1, 16 in 1, 18 in 1 and now 24 in 1. I bought one 24 in 1 DVD at the start of this month but I haven't watch them all 'cuz I wasn't interested in them. The movies that I want to watch are in other collection dvd along with soft porn movies so I didn't want to buy them even though I want to watch them. My mother complains a lot the last time I borrowed a dvd from a friend 'cuz she didn't like those kind of movies. It wasn't my fault anyway. She was the one who wanted to see that Lee Byun Hyun movie. Compared to other movies, that LBH movie wasn't that bad and it was funny. She just didn't like to see her fav celebs having sex on screen :). I chose to remain silent and not bother with arguing. My director at work also bought a Korean movie DVDs 'cuz she like some of the movies but she was shocked to see those x rated movies and said she wouldn't have buy the dvd if she knew that they will be included. The one of the guy listening to her said "Really, let me borrow your DVD then". LOL he he

Next time I buy a Korean Movie DVD, I'll look for the ones including Love Me Not, My Boss My Hero, II Mare and Typhoon but so far all four movies are in different DVDs and I don't buy want to buy them all.

Right now I don't have much money left to spend since I bought too much dvds :(. I will have to watch what I spent from now on.

Back from Long Silence

Sorry for not updating my blog. I got cut off from the internet a few weeks ago and now that I got it back at work but I don't have much time to use it for personal affairs. Even though internet was down, I still was quite busy with my work and now that it's up again, I'm more busier.

Not much have go on in my life. I leave work early now 'cuz I want to get home early and rest. I used to stayed at work till it's nearly 7 pm but now I leave work after 5 pm. After I get home, I get the chance to use the computer before my brother comes back home. I rarely watch dramas now as I have become more absorbed in reading e-books. I'm reading Philip Pullman and so far I read The Golden Compass and The Subtle Knife. I went to the library to search for the last book but instead I only saw The Ruby in the Smoke so I borrowed that instead. It's funny that they couldn't find the author's name in the computer system while I was holding the book in my hand.

Beside reading e-books, I finished watching A Prince's First Love with Myanmar subtitles. I don't really dig having to watch with Myanmar subs but since it was at home, I ended up watching the drama but only after fast forwarding it and skipping forward so I got bored watching. These kind of love stories don't take my intrest that much anymore. Probably it's because of watching dramas like The Devil and Air City. I finished Air City a few days ago and I love it. I like the lead actor a lot. I've always liked him since II Mare. Now I want to watch it back again along with Typhoon.

Blogger & Decision

My sister just told me that blogspot has been banned. I knew it would come to this at the end but I was hoping that they won't do that. Oh, well I still have my way around blogging but now I'm thinking of moving my English blog to somewhere else. I already made a decision to blog mainly in English a few days ago to improve my English and it wasn't that necessary for me to blog in both versions. There are a lot of Myanmar bloggers who blog in Myanmar so they won't miss me if I don't blog in Myanmar.

I Hate Half Warm Coffee

I went to Seasons Bakery & Cafe at Yankin Center with my friend to meet an online friend from forum. My sister arrived a few minutest later. Ever since I watched Coffee Prince, I had been wanting to try other tastes of coffee and the one I really wanted to check out was cafe latte 'cuz I've seen many pictures of coffee art decorated on cafe latte on the internet. I remember seeing a coffee decoration on a cappuccino from a restaurant at Excel Tower. I wanted to know whether my coffee would be decorated also at Seasons.

My coffee arrived a few minutes later after my order. It was placed in a large glass with a large spoon on top. At first I thought they had mistaken my drink for a cold drink but I expected to be served in a coffee cup, not in a glass. I added a bag of sugar and tasted the coffee. It was terrible. The taste was too strong and worst of all, it was half warm. I hate drinking coffee which are half warm. If I want hot coffee, I want to drink it while it's still hot with streams coming out from the cup. If I want it cold, I would have order a cold drink. Now that I think about it, this isn't' the first I get half warm drinks at Seasons. A long time ago, I ordered hot chocolate and it was nearly cold when it arrived. As for the coffee, next time I will just stick with drinking ready made coffee mixes and home made coffee 'cuz I am not used to strong tastes.

It was nice to meet him but most of the conversation we had was about Singapore 'cuz my friend was pretty interested in Sg and Polytechni. So she bombed him with questions after questions. Since she doesn't know much about forum so she was pretty bored having to listen to us talk about forum related things. I didn't intend to invite her to come with me that day but there was supposed to be a birthday party in the afternoon at my house which got canceled but she didn't know about so she arrived 2 hours before my meeting. I couldn't ask her to just home after she cancel her classes to spend time with her friends.

Heroes

Last night I watched Heroes Season 1 on dvd and I was immediately hooked on the series. I have watched the first episode a long time ago but I didn't continue watching till my sister bought the dvd. Actually I wanted to watch The Prince's First Love drama but my brother and I had an argument 'cuz the drama is subbed in Myanmar and it was pirated so he accused me of supporting piracy from his company. I didn't even buy it in the first place. Why would I even want to waste my money to buy dramas or movies subbed in Myanmar subtitles? I only watched this drama 'cuz my pc is broken and if I buy the dvd with english sub, my mother would scold me for wasting money as there was a dvd at home already. It was my father who borrowed the dvd from his friend but of course my brother didn't dare voice out his anger to him so he turned to me instead.

I didn't want the same arugment to continue again last night so I thought I will just watch the first episode and wait till he's asleep so I can continue my drama. But he was also hooked on to the series so we ended up watching it for four episodes straight. I had to tell my brother to go to sleep as the hour was nearly midnight and he have to get up way early in the morning. My mother wasn't pleased to see her son staying up the night watching tv 'cuz she wanted all of us to sleep early as possible.

I might continue watching the series tonight but if my brother isn't around, I'll just finish watching the kdrama first.

New Fashion Journal Released

A few years ago, I used to read most of all the fashion magazines available from the book rental shop. The main intention of reading those magazines was to read about Myanmar celebrities but the prices have went up and I was sick of flipping through glossy advertisement papers and then reading articles which are indirectly advertising the products.Some magazines only featured articles about people I dislike so now it'sbeen a long time since I read a magazine.

But now, a journal dedicated to fashion and entertainment has been released since yesterday. The name of the journal is "NOW" and what set it different from regular magazines and journals is that all pages arefull color. This week's front cover is Nicole Kidman and usually Myanmar fashion magazines and journals used Myanmar celebrities and models as their front cover. Reading this journal reminds me of those teen magazines I read when I was younger. I think this is the first journal
which criticize Myanmar celebrities publicly. It's nothing serious, just a small criticism about bad choice of fashion and acne-control in Sai Sai's case. It's funny to read them anyway. I'll summarize some of the interviews and features about Myanmar celebrities.

In the interview with Kaung Myat, he said that his new album contains only r&b and pop songs as he wanted a change of music style. I used to thought he can't sing solo but after hearing him in Sai Sai's 'bone kyoe pyat tae nat tha mee' song, I am looking forward to this album release.

My sister said that the girls sounded a bit rude in the interview with NO but I think they are just sick of answering questions related to Thazin. I also have seen several of their interviews and most of them asked about Thazin. They must have broken up for like a year already. Interviewers, give these girls a break. It's not like there aren't any other questions to ask. I am neither a fan of NO nor Thazin but they want to move on so let them move on instead of talking about the past all the times. I am more of a fan of Yee Mon whose music sounds better when she sings solo.

Since I have mention gossips and criticism, some of you might be wondering what those are about. Just as I have said in the above paragraph, it's nothing too serious. They wrote that Sai Sai can dress in fashion but he should take care of his acne on his face. That's kinda true. Those pimples are huge. On the photo of Moe Hay Ko, it was written, "Who is this...ahh..that's the girl some journal named the popular person of the year...but those color contacts doesn't match well with her". My favorite one is about Aye Wit Yee Thaung. She was wearing a red polka dot dress which looks really cute and nice but there was some black straps around her ankle and they wrote "Perhaps she's too busy to buy a stocking so she drew a fake stocking on her legs.". As I have said, those aren't too serious and they are funny. I hope they would continue to write like this in the next journals.

Edit: Those criticism were written after gaining permisson from the Myanmar celebrities.

So if you are in Myanmar, you might want to check this out if you are into fashion and entertainment. The sale price is 500 kyats but I don't know how much the journal stand might sell them for.

Shopping at Yuzana Plaza

Yesterday I woke up a bit early than usual Sundays after hearing Ye' Lay's song playing. It was my sister who was listening to his album and I joined her without even washing up first till she stopped listening. I asked my brother to buy pauk si for breakfast and drank coffee while eating pauk si. I watched some kpop videos I burned on a vcd. It has been a long time since the last time I burned them. After I get my computer fixed (again), I'll burn them on dvd as it's a waste of cds when I don't have time to watch them. I must have about 20 or 30 cds all burned with my downloads. I want to share them on divx but my connection is too slow to upload.

Anyway, after I had breakfast, I started cleaning the family room as my father was saying the desk is too messy. I tried my best to tidy up the desk but I couldn't put away my brother's things as he'll be using them again later on. Afterward, I started watching "Take the Lead" movie which I rented from the shop on Saturday. It's a nice movie but I only got to watch a few chapters as my mother called out for me and asked me whether I'm interested in going to Yuzana Plaza or not. I told her I will go so I took a bath quickly, dressed and came down to eat lunch.

We left our home around 2 pm. My mother suggest that I should buy some new shoes just in case I need to go to some ceremonies or occasions like wedding, birthday, etc. I wasn't quite interested in the idea and maybe that's why I couldn't find a single shoe I like. My sister tired of me for being so picky. I was just more interested in buying a present for my friend. I bought a green long waist blouse and I wanted to buy my friend one also but it's short sleeve so she might not want to wear it as she's skinny. I'm skinny too but I don't' mind wearing short sleeves.

It was really tiring walking around the place and I was getting really thirsty. My sister suggested we eat and rest at some place but she went to the 3rd floor in hope of finding Mr. Brown. I told her it's not on the 3rd floor anymore but she didn't listen. We bought the present from the first shop we saw on the 3rd floor. There was a large food court at the center of the place and I wanted to go back downstairs as I couldn't stand the loud music being played but my sister said she's hungry so we sat down. I ordered a cup of ice coffee while she ordered Shan Noodle. I wouldn't recommend eating Shan Noodle at this place as it's just too little for a price of 800 kyats and the ice coffee is also 800 kyats but at least it's not filled with water like at some fast food places. Although I didn't like the food, I like the shop we visited and next time I go shopping, I would go to the 3rd floor first 'cuz the prices aren't that expensive there.

We went home after 5pm and most of the shops were already closed down by then. I finished watching "Take the Lead" after the tv drama has ended airing and it was really a nice movie. I wished we had similar programs like ball room dancing back at our junior high school.

Usual Sunday

This Sunday, I woke up a bit early than usual but still I didn't start doing anything till past 10 am. The weather was nice, bright and clear, so I did my laundry and I didn't finish washing them all till after 2pm. I'm a slow worker who takes rest pretty often so I'm slow at finishing my tasks. I had my lunch at 1 pm and continue my work while pausing pretty often to talk to my sister or listen to music. After I finish doing laundry, my sister told me to give her my scrunches and other hair accessories as my hair is pretty short to use them now. She was a bit surprised to see my large collection. She even told me to take some photos of them. She said I should her give them to her sooner as she was thinking of buying some of them, mentioning to my flower shaped hair clips. I have been meaning to give them to her for years but I kept forgetting.

After I gave her my stuffs, I cleaned my room and took a bath. I was planning to go to the hair salon by 4pm but my friend arrived so I decided to wait for my sister to finish typing her cv and go to the salon together. When my sister was finished, it started raining so we had to wait for the rain to stop. It didn't look like it'll stop so we decided to go out at 5:30. My sister wanted to eat Rakhine Moat Tee so we went to the shop first. On the way, as I was crossing the street, a blue jeep came out of nowhere and almost run me over. I was a bit shocked at first but I reacted quickly by running back to the street side. Gosh, I always looked both ways before crossing the street but that jeep was driving at full speed and didn't even bother to slow down or stop. I am sick and tired of always watching out for cars who will always drive close to my feet. It should be them who should look out for the passengers. Even when I am walking by the street side, as there are no platforms, I still get honks and yelled by the drivers. Now that I'm going back to UFL, I have to face having to cross Inya Road before reaching the university. I don't know when I will get hit by a car.

Anyway, back to the subject, after we reached the shop, we all had Rakhine Moat Tee and Tofu A Sar Tot which is vegetables, tamarind juice, soy sauce and chili stuffed in the tofu. This shop is the only shop around my area which sells them and it's my sister's favorite. I don't really fancy that shop 'cuz the moat tee doesn't taste that good and the rest of the food are pretty expensive, 300 kyats for a plate of a thote while other places sells them for 150 kyats or 200 kyats. But this is the only shop around the area which opens on Sundays so I have nowhere else to go when I want to eat Rakhine Moat Tee.

Afterward, I went to the salon while my friend and my sisters went to make copies of the cv and certificates. I visited that salon just a week ago but at that time I was in a hurry and I didn't have any pictures with me to show the hairstyle I want. I have the pictures with me this time and I think my hairstyle is now nearly like Eun Chan. Yeah, call me a copycat but I always like seeing Asian actresses with short hairstyles. I was starting to hate my last hairstyle as it was getting out of shape.

I tried to take some photos of myself but I even scare myself 'cuz I look like a skeleton in the photos. I look like I haven't had any sleep for days. My mother has been saying that to me for awhile now but I didn't think I look that bad when I look in the mirror. Maybe the camera is bewitched so I look ugly every time I took a photo :D. Like my sister said, it's just me and I am just not photogenic at all. Which is why I avoid taking photos of myself with digital cameras. They reveal the truth to much :(

My sister is taking some traditional medicines to gain weight. Maybe I should take some also just to get my face look healthy.

Peekaboo Posts Vs Haloscan Comments

I had been using Haloscan for comments at my Myanmar blog for a long time now but after I changed my template, I forgot to add it back. Since my posts are too long, I decided to use peekaboo script and it's working fine. But the problem is I can't use haloscan anymore. I have tried several times uploading and reuploading at haloscan site but I gave up now. If I used the edited template from haloscan, all of my posts disappear. It only works when I don't have peekaboo script in the template. Since I like the script, I have decided to keep using it. I'm sad that all of my comments on haloscan can't be seen by viewers anymore but there's nothing I can do about it.

UFL Music Show

Yesterday I went to UFL in the morning to get my certificate and apply for Intermediate 1 but I didn't get my certificate as there was a music show at the university. The professor who was keeping the certificates was watching the show so I would have to wait till the show was over to get my certificate. My classmates came to meet me at the UFL and she said she'll ask her sister to get the certificate for me instead and she'll apply for me instead on Monday. I really wanted to stay and finish watching the concert or at least watch till the Korean major students performed on stage but she insisted that we should leave. I saw a bunch of guys wearing white collar shirts and one of them was holding a sheet of paper. He was standing beside me so I looked at the page and I think I saw the lyrics by 015B. I only got to see the performance by a French major student and watch a bunch of German major students singing in Myanmar which lyrics sounded so crappy. My friend told me that they always held music shows like that at UFL. They sure are pretty lucky to be able to perform the show as it didn't rain yesterday.

I always envy students who get to attend UFL. The university to which I only attended a few days each year for distant education didn't feel like a university at all. I thought about whether I should be taking a diploma course for Korean as I wanted to learn properly but I don't have enough time to do that. My work started at 9 am and I can only be late till 9:15 am. I will have to pay 600 kyats every time I'm late so that means I will have to pay over 10000 kyats just for my lateness. I'm not also a morning person so evening classes work better for me. I used to leave work early around 4:15 pm on Mon, Wed and Fri when I attended UFL but I will be leaving 15 mins later when I started my classes again. One of my classmate won't be joining us for the new class as he's going to Korean to work. He was the only student in class who knew a lot more in Korean than us and he annoyed me at first 'cuz the teachers then assumed that we all should know them well like him but he's nice and friendly. I guess we all got close in Basic 2 as there were lesser students in the class.

The Last Cup of Coffee Prince

I've finished watching Coffee Prince last night. I downloaded the raw versions cuts from youtube as I couldn't get it anywhere else. Then I had to resync the subtitle every time after watching each videos which were separated when uploaded to youtube.

I felt like there can be no dramas that will replace Coffee Prince even though I know there will be replacements in the future 'cuz I felt the same way after finishing Goong. There are only four dramas which I became obsessed with and wrote about frequently in forums and blogs and those are Full House, Goong, My Girl and Coffee Prince. Coffee Prince is the only drama in which I like each and every characters in the drama. I will miss seeing Han Kyul, Gong Chan, the coffee princes, Han Seung, Yoo Joo, Eun Sae, etc.

In my opinion, the character Han Kyul is too good to be true. When I first watched him, I wasn't that quite attracted to him as he acted like a wang ssagaji (king of jerk) but he grew on me as I continue watching the drama. He almost always look good and stylish except when he was wearing an orange polka dot shirt. I don't think polka dots suit him. The way he loves Eun Chan makes me wonder whether actual people like him exist in the real world. If you know one, let me know then :D

One of my favorite scene is in the last episode when Han Kyul woke up Eun Chan by singing her a song via his phone. Now why can't I have a boyfriend like him? See, I told you. Han Kyul is just too good to be true.

In the last episode, Eun Chan probably put on a wig to express that 2 years have passed now but I am not used to seeing her with longer hair as I was used to seeing her with her boyish hairstyle. She still looks good but her appearance doesn't make me feel that she's Eun Chan anymore. I was seeing her more as Yoon Eun Hye the actress rather than Eun Chan, the tomboy.

This last episode is dedicated mostly to the sweet couple so the rest of the casts appeared less on the episode. Yoo Joo couldn't get any child but the couple is still happy together. Min Yeop is starting to become a model and still dating Eun Sae, Ha Rim is still seeing Byul (I don't think they match each other 'cuz I don't like her attitude) but he's still a playboy also and maybe Sun Ki might start a new relationship with the newcomer at the shop.

All right, I am really feeling like Coffee Prince hasn't ended at all and there are many episodes to look forward. This episode doesn't make feel like the drama ended at all and that's just worse than the other dramas 'cuz I can feel that they have ended. I read that MBC might make a sequel to Coffee Prince but Gong Yoo won't be in it as he's enlisted to join the army this year. I don't know if I should look forward to this or not. Long ago, I also thought that Goong will have a sequel but all I saw was Goong S and there is no sequal at all. Plus, Coffee Prince without Gong Yoo won't be the same at all.

Now I am downloading the Coffee Prince special show from youtube. There wont' be any subs but I can watch the NGs meanwhile waiting for the subs release from WithS2.

Northern Bay of Bengal faces tsunami risk

PARIS (AFP) — The northern tip of the Bay of Bengal, home to tens of millions of people, faces a potential double whammy from an earthquake and tsunami, a scientist warned on Wednesday.

He says the peril does not appear to be immediate but says there are many unknowns and further work is needed to quantify the risk.

Quake experts today fret about a stress point just east of where the December 26, 2004 temblor occurred near the Indonesian island of Sumatra, killing some 220,000 people. The risk of another giant event at this spot is high, they fear.

But Phil Cummins of Geoscience Australia says another danger lurks to the north along the coast of Myanmar and Bangladesh, in a so-called subduction zone -- where one part of the Earth's crust is slowly diving under another.

A vicious "locked-thrust" fault, of the kind that unleashes tsunamis, runs parallel to the shore in similar fashion to the Sumatra fault, he believes.

It has been overlooked because the last big quake there was nearly two and a half centuries ago, and the fault lies hidden under seabed sediment up to 20 kilometres (12 miles thick), he contends.

"This is the type of earthquake that could generate a large tsunami which could impact the densely-populated Ganges delta," he said in a phone-in conference with reporters.

"The earthquake itself could cause much damage in Chittagong and perhaps significant damage even in Dhaka and Calcutta [Kolkata]... very large populations are potentially at risk."

On April 2, 1762, a large earthquake hit the Arakan coast of Myanmar, wrenching up parts of the coast and several offshore islands by between three and seven metres (10 and 23 feet).

Anecdotal evidence suggests that this also caused a tsunami.

A family history, recounted to the commander of a British ship that visited the remote area in 1841, described how "the sea washed to and fro several times with great fury, and then retired from ground."

At Dhaka, now the bustling Bangladesh capital, the river rose suddenly and "hundreds of large country boats were driven ashore or lost, and great numbers of lives lost with them."

Cummins, whose paper is published in Thursday's issue of Nature, believes the fault ruptured along 500 kilometers (310 miles), an exploit consistent with an earthquake of 8.8 magnitude.

His computer simulation of the event says the tsunami would have reached a maximum height offshore of 2.5 metres (8.1 feet). Further work, harnessing precise knowledge of the ocean bed topography, is needed to estimate its height once it hit the shore.

In addition, GPS sensors on the ground suggest that the fault is still tectonically active, with movement of around 23mm (0.9 inches) per year, says Cummins.

"It would take an additional 200 years from now for the stress to build up to its pre-1762 levels, but on the other hand, the rupture could occur in smaller earthquakes" whose timing is unknown, he said.

Around 60 million people at the Ganges-Brahmaputra delta live within 10 metres (32.5 feet) of sea level, many in quake-vulnerable homes, says Cummins.

More than a million lives may be at risk from a repeat of a 1762-level event, he says, but admits that this is little more than a guess.

"We need further geodetic measurements to measure possible stress buildup along the coast of Myanmar and Bangladesh and further geological studies in this area to detect traces of the 1762 and earlier earthquakes and tsunamis," he adds.

The study is the second scientific paper in a month to identify high-population zones that have been overlooked as tsunami risks.

Hong Kong and the neighbouring territory of Macau face a roughly 10 percent risk of being hit by a devastating tsunami in the next hundred years, researchers report in the latest issue of a specialist journal, Physics of the Earth and Planetary Interiors.

The risk comes from a fault on the notorious Manila Trench, according to computer simulations by scientists in China, the United States and Japan.

Ladies First

Whenever I hear the word 'propose', I always imagined a guy proposing to a girl, maybe holding a bunch of flowers in his hand or at a nice restaurant or any place that's romantic. This is the first time I've watched a girl proposing to a guy. That is really sweet and romantic. So who says guys have to do the job all the time huh? :D

I got the idea for this post after reading Ma Red Rose's comments on the drama. I've been meaning to blog more about Coffee Prince but I've been too busy with work. I still have some jobs left to do but I'm taking a break now.

Sunday Window Shopping

Yesterday I went shopping with my mother and my sister. I was planning to watch Sai Sai's movie at Nawaday but my sister wanted to go shopping and I didn't want to go alone so I went along with them. We went to Ocean Super Market at 9 Mile and it was really a bad choice. I couldn't find any clothing which suited me at all. I wanted to check out some jeans but all I saw those badly dyed denim jeans. It was my sister who wanted to do some shopping and she didn't like anything also.

She wanted to buy a new shoes but she didn't see anything she likes. So we went downstairs and looked around but still didn't find anything we like. The prices there seem more expensive than our local store nearby. So I just bought a can of tuna to eat with crackers and a bag of Super cereal. Then we went to Seasons bakery and bought a cake and some breads. I haven't been to Seasons for a long time now. I wanted to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee but I didn't like the seating place there. Yankin Center has better seating. I wasn't hungry so I didn't eat anything there but the foods smell so good. That's what I love about Seasons. Whenever I walk into the shop, I love the smell of fresh baked bread.

We went to Hledan afterward and my sister bought a pair of shoes there. It was my mother who found the shoes for her. I couldn't find anything that suited my taste. Maybe it's just me. People look nice wearing those foreign shoes but I don't think they look nice when I see them at the stores. Usually I just wear Myanmar sandals which are easier to wear and matched with my htamian but I will have to buy some shoes to wear sometimes. I will go to Yuzana Plaza with my mother later since I can't pick anything on my own.

As we were about to leave, my sister who was checking out the dvd stall, saw Hereos Season 1 dvd and I asked her to buy for me. I saw other American series like Lost Season 3 (which I have 'lost' interest in long time ago), CSI, 24 Hour, Desperate Housewives and Prison Break Season 2. I already have Prison Break dvds to watch with the computer so I didn't want to buy any. I already bought 2 kdrama dvds (all starring Lee Da Hae) on Friday so I didn't want to buy any new dvds at the moment.

Why Do We Blog Seminar

"Why Do We Blog" seminar was held on Saturday at Myamar Info-Tech and it was a success. I think more than 500 people attended the seminar (I don't know the exact figure). It rained since morning so we didn't expect so many people would come. I was supposed to arrived at 9am in the morning but I was late since I made a trip to a beauty salon to get my hair straighten out with the iron flattener. I didn't eat breakfast as I thought I could catch a few bites at the canteen before the seminar stars. Boy, was I wrong. I shouldn't have skip breakfast at all. As soon as I arrived at the front desk, I was busy handing out flyers to people. They were surely early to arrive one hour before the seminar stars. The seminar started off at 11am and I went in a few minutes afterward as there weren't many people arriving from the outside. Some other people from Service Plus arrived so they stayed at the desk while we were in the seminar. I had to show people to empty seats and it wasn't an easy task 'cuz people don't sit next to each other, leave one or two seats between each other and the guests wanted to sit next to each other. I guess that is just the habit of Myanmar people.

One of our sponsors was Inforithm Maze who introduced a new social networking website similar to Friendster called "My Suboo". When I first heard the name, I thought it was a Japanese name and I was pronouncing it like "tsu boo". "Suboo" is a Myanmar name which means piggy bank. I will register for an account soon also.

The first part of the seminar ended at noon and I was one of the people who were clapping loudly as I was so glad to finally get a chance to eat. We served coffee and snacks for the guests. I also drank coffee and ate one croissant but I wasn't satisfied at all so I ate some potato chips afterward but I still was hungry. Lunch time passed by so quickly 'cuz I was spending the rest of the times at the front desk, folding up the survey sheets for the lucky draw program.

The second part of the seminar started at 1pm. This time I found myself a seat at the back and started sitting down as my back was starting to hurt for standing so long. When the speakers came up the stage to start speaking, a group of photographers surround the stage (including the bloggers) but I never seen so many people surrounded other speakers as when Ma Melody Maung came up to stage. She sure caught the attention so all the male photographers :). One of the unique feature of this seminar was there was an interview between some of the guests and Ko Soe Zaya. Most of the guests who were interviewed don't know much about blogging at all. There was only blogger among the interviewers.

Before the lucky draw program, there was a session where the bloggers answered the questions asked along with the survey questions. I took a look at some of the questions during lunch and some were funny and some were hard to decide. First Ko Nay Phone Latt answered some of the questions and Ko Nyi Lynn Seck answered some more questions. One of the question he answered was "Does posting at blogs require permission by the press scrutiny board (sar pay sit say yay)?". I never thought we need to do that and the audience laughed with me also. The last questions related to blogging was answered by Ko Saturn God and questions related to MySuboo was answered by Inforithm.

The lucky draw program seemed to took such a long time for me as I was starving and my stomach even started to make noises. I hoped nobody notice me. The prizes included t-shirts, blogging training programs, internet cards at Service Plus and memory sticks. When a person's name was called to come up on stage for winning a t-shirt, two guys with the same name appeared and the other guy is blue shirt looked embarrassed as he wasn't the winner but later he won a 512mb memory stick and there was no mistakes this time. I was glad for him and the audience agreed as they clap loudly for him. A guy sitting next to him won the 1gb memory stick (maybe he's the blue shirt guy's friend?). And finally after the lucky draw program ended, Ma PinkGold announced the end of the seminar and it was over. We took photos and they were posted immediately to why-do-we-blog.blogspot.com. I'm glad that Ko Kyaw Zeya remembered to bring some snacks to eat 'cuz all of the bloggers were hungry. Some of them didn't even eat breakfast so I was in the spot with them. We went to Golden Duck near the Pansodan Jetty for dinner and I arrived at home around 8:45 pm.

When I got home, I discussed a bit about the seminar with my sister and she wasn't happy that her main blogging site xanga was classified as social networking. I told her to just blog about it and she said she'll do that. Then we talked a bit about the advantages of blogging in English and she said only those bloggers who write in English will be notice by the rest of the world who can read in English. That's true. I was too tired so I went to bed afterward.

Coffee Prince

I've just finished watching Coffee Prince up to episode 15 now. Since they are dating now, there isn't much in the plot but still I can't help smiling and laughing. They are just so cute together. I even started to feel a bit of jealousy in episode 15. It is too much to ask for someone like Han Kyul to exit in the real world? J/K. He's just too perfect and these kind of guys only appear in movies, dramas and books. I have been pretty much spamming my other blog with Coffee Prince related posts. I have been collecting the lyrics for some of the songs from the drama. I will share them pretty soon after I upload the songs on fileden. I want to share songs with Myanmar web surfers and I think fileden will work for them as it's pretty simple to download from.

Aside from Coffee Prince, I haven't really watch any other dramas except 2 episodes of Liar Game but I have stopped watching now to wait for the episode 11 subtitle release. I don't really feel like watching anything else beside Coffee Prince. At work, my winamp playlist is only Coffee Prince Ost and songs featured in the drama. When I get free time to surf the net, I have been surfing sites related to Coffee Prince. This craziness is similar to what I felt when I was obsessed with Goong and I know my Goong obsession didn't die out so soon. The drama has finished airing now but I too felt like other fans who didn't want it to them. When Goong finished airing, I also felt the same depression. I thought no other drama can replace Goong but actually I moved on to other dramas of course. But then it's still my favorite drama after Full House. So I wonder what place is Coffee Prince in my top 10 Kdrama list now. I can't decide whether I like this better than My Girl or not which is my 3rd fav drama.

I will stop with my spamming about Coffee Prince for now but I'll be back with posts related to Coffee Prince later :)

This is really the first I read this lyrics throughly as I was typing them out and they don't make sense at all. Plus there are so some typos that I don't even if they were typed on purpose or not. I like the song but I don't dig the lyric at all. I tried to correct as much as I could but I am not even sure if it's supposed to be 'da real MC' or 'du real MC'. Sometimes the word MC is both in capital letters but sometimes they are not. Whatever, this is still a whole lot better than Sai Sai's English song. There's a Myanmar version of this on the lyric book but the lyrics aren't all the same. The Myanmar lyrics look more catchy.

If anyone wants to share this somewhere else (just in case), pls credit me and my blog as I have to buy the lyric book and typed it myself to post here.

Moe Hay Ko & Search Engine Ranking

When you search for 'moe hay ko' in Google, my blog ranks no 2. No wonder my blog has been getting many viewers lately. When I browse my account at sitemeter, the only keywords they are using is 'moe hay ko' and 'moe hay ko video' and someone searched for 'nandar hlaing photo' also. I don't know if I should be happy or not lol. My other blog doesn't rank on Google search engine 'cuz I didn't add proper keywords to the meta tag. I'm switching from sitemeter to statcounter for Myanmar blog now. I'll change for this blog later. Now I have to update another blog after finding a lots of hangul lyrics on the net.

Books I Used to Read

When I was a kid, I only read Shwe Thwe comic and sometimes rent kid comic books from a book renter shop. My fav comic characters were TawKa, Tha Main Paw Thout, Tott Pi, etc. I used to believe that novels arefor adults as I think I was told by my elders not to read those romancenovels. I didn't even know other kind of novels exit at all. I onlystarted reading Myanmar novels when I was 17.

All of these beliefs changed when I went abroad with my family. After going to school for a few weeks, my ESL teacher took us to a library nearby and we were given library cards. At that time, my English was still poor so I only stick to reading books from my ESL classes. Later on, as I began to know more I started reading other books from the library. At that time, one of the popular series among kids at school is Goosebumps. At school, we were given free books at least twice a year in elementary. I got my first "Goosebump" book and that got me hooked on to Goosebumps series. I read all of the Goosebumps series available at the library and after that I got bored as there wasn't anymore Goosebumps to read. Then I notice quite a large collection of books for the series "The Babysitters Club". So I started off with the first book and I was hooked on to the series. I think I prefer Babysitters Club series as I was a growing teenager at that time and the series target young audience like me. The books are a bit outdated but still I like reading them.

I also checked out several books just because it was mentioned in the Babysitters Club. I started off with Nancy Drew and later I also read the Hardy Boys. I like reading mysteries so I read what I could get from the young adult section. I also tried out horse stories as it was mentioned in the BSC and I read books like the Black Stallion, etc.

At the library, there are different sections for different varieties of books and I started reading from the section aimed for kids, When I was a bit older, I started reading from the young adult section. I didn't know such place exit at first and I only went in there to read some magazines. One of the librarian joked that we (my friends and I) have reading most of the books for the kids and young adult section so he's afraid we might not be coming there often as there aren't much to read anymore.

One day in junior high, we were given free books again and this time I got a Goosebump book but my friend got a book about dragons. The look on his face was hilarious when he got the book. Since he was a guy, he wasn't interested in those kind of stories and asked me to switch books with him. I did so and at first the book looked boring to me. But as I started reading, I was again absorbed in reading fantasy novels. That book name was "Calling on Dragons" and I lost that book now. I read a lot of fantasy novels by Tameron Pierce. I don't really remember much about the stories now.

Goosebump died down on me in junior high as I began to read other novels but even though I was getting older by that time, I liked reading the "Animorphs" series which was intended for kids. I wasn't the only who liked them. My friends like them also so when we couldn't find other Animorphs books to read at the library nearby, we went to another library a little far from our home. My mother didn't like me to go there alone so I have to take my sister along or go with friends.

The last series I was reading before I came back to Yangon started off with "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeline L' Engle. I don't remember anything about the storyline right now but I remember that I really loved those novels by that author. I was pretty lonely at school as my friends were no longer there anymore and her books kept me company. I must have really looked like a geek or a nerd, wearing thick glasses and reading novels most of the time even in class.

I can hardly remember any of the storyline for most of the books I have read unless I have them at home. I have a huge collection of Babysitters Club books given by the school, bought from yard sales and later on through a friend who grew up reading them. But now I don't have those books anymore as I donated them to a library along with our Goosebump series and other children novels which we thought were pretty childish for us to keep at home.

The last time I went to a library, I saw a guy about 16 who said he want to read some scary books and the guy at the desk said check out those Goosebumps series. I couldn't help smiling as those books were the ones we donated. There are a couple of translated or revised versions of scary novels available in Myanmar now. Those stories are similar to Goosebump and actually twoof them was based on the seires and I have already checked some of them out. I even bought the first novel by Thadoe Tayza, knowing that it's a translated version of Goosebumps as I couldn't rent the novel at that time. I prefer reading them in English than in Myamar version 'cuz the feeling you get when reading the original was lost when I read the translated version. I didn't bother to buy his books again but I always rent them from the book rental shop whenever I see them. But I never really read the whole story. I just started reading from the back to the front and from the front of the back and after knowing the story, I gave the book to my sister. I know

I'm just wasting money for renting books which I don't really read but I was curious about what kind of stories he wrote in a new novel. The original books were intended for kids from age 9 to 13 but in Myanmar, people over 13 read these kind of books. I wish there are more novels aiming at younger audience and parents should encourage their kids to read. Some parent think that kids shouldn't be reading novels when they are still in school but compared to my experience, I learned more from reading the novels than being taught in school. That's how I improved my English. Whenever I look at children literature books at book shops, I only see short translation of some famous novel, the Harry Potter translated series, and books similar to Goosebumps. I don't see novels like the one I read when I was younger.

The purpose of this post is for me to share a list of books I read when I was younger. I had this idea for a couple of weeks and I thought my post will be longer than this but as I wrote them down, I can't remember half of what I was thinking when I got this idea. Well, I will write about them again, maybe with more details after I read some of the books back. I'm reading back The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman but as I don't spend much time on reading it, I haven't read much of it yet. It's funny that I could read Harry Potter 7th in 2 weeks but I couldn't even finish a 160 pages in a month.

Am I Being Over Sensitive?

I really dislike people touching my personal things. I hated them using my coffee cup at work without washing it back so I keep the cup with me at my desk. I hate having my cds and dvds scratched by those who borrowed them from me. I wish people would at least pay some attention to my things and take good care of them. I myself is to be blamed for talking about these dramas to anyone who will listen and they would want to watch them also so I had to lend them. Sometimes my dvds are being passed from one to another without my knowledge and I don't like not being told about it. My brother also likes to lend the dvds to his friends and I'm pretty touchy about my kdrama dvds in those people that I don't even know and it was full of scratches when they are returned. People just say big deal if I take about them. They just don't care that much as I do. One time he rented my Ye' Lay cd to a girl from work and when the cd was given back, the cd cover was folded in half like some retard thought it must have been pretty funny to do that. Yes, I'm also sensitive about folded covers. I hate seeing my book covers folded in half by those who read them and didn't bother to think I would mind about it. Once I lent my Judy Blume book to a friend who returned back after her cat peed on the top of the book and I can still see the yellow spot everytime I look at it. And it was one of my favorite collection as it was a book singed by the author herself.

I think I never really wrote about my teenage life that much before. Well, I lived in America for a couple of years and I attend school there.

In 8th grade, my English teacher asked us to keep a journal in her room and write in it. Usually she gave us topics to write about them but sometimes we can write whatever we want. I never wrote about private stuffs in my journal but as I was reading it back the other day, I felt like sharing a couple of lines from the journal.

If you think these journal entry are immature, pls excuse a 14 year old girl with a mind of a 13 year old at that time.

The entry are written in Monotype Corsiva font as I wrote them in cursive in my journal. I think most of you guys might have this font installed in your computer.

When you lose, it gives you more desire to win expect the Redskins who kept losing and losing. I finished so I will about myself now.

The topic for today is name your favorite character in Romeo and Juliet. Probably Lady Montague because she only said one line. Juilet, daugher of the Capulet, is my favorite character because she showed that she loved Romeo, son of Montague, and wouldn't marry another. She killed herself (ouch!) showing that her life is over without Romeo. Some teenager! At least the suicide brought the Capulet and Montauge together. When will Ms. Minor called the Beta Club?

Explanation: As part of the 8th grade curriculum, we were required to read Romeo & Juliet by Shakespeare. I never really finished reading it. I think I only read 5 pages and only flipped the book when I was required to do a monologue. Our teacher showed us an old movie so I knew the story and no need to continue reading the play. It's not that I don't like reading. I was really a bookworm at that time but reading those kind of books just bored me to death. I never finished reading the Illiad either and I got an A- on my report, which I am very proud of as I managed to write an report basing on facts from the internet and that report earned me my first A in my report card for English.

Well, that's all. My journal is really silly and I just write nonsense stuffs like Backstreet Boys, Nick Carter, Dawson's Creek, etc. I was only reading it back so that I can know the names of the books I read when I was a teen. I want to read them again so I'm trying to find some of them online.

Ye' Lay's Home VCD Review

I know I'm way too late for this review but I've just got my pc back last night and I have been wanting to write this review ever since my sister bought the vcd. I noticed that not many people write reviews for Myanmar albums and vcds so maybe my review isn't this late yet.

First of all, this vcd is directed by Zaw Ko Ko, Wine, Tint San, Ye' Myint Thu and one video was directed by Ye' Lay himself. His vcd features some new faces, some are bad at acting and some are not so bad. I can't say I love this vcd but it's not all so bad either. Beside, if I need something to laugh at, I can always just play this vcd. No, there aren't any comic acts in here but some parts of the video are just so funny.

Alexandre Christine was the main sponser so there was some advertisements added in the vcd. What really annoyed me is that one of the video is actually shot to advertise the watches. More about that later.

I dont' mean to diss Ye' Lay but there are my real opinions, coming from a true fan of him. If a fan like me is saying these, what would others say about him?

The first track is "Shaut Ma Nyar Nae' featuring Jenny, Violent Girl and Essential group. Essential group are the dancers. I don't really like this video. I don't like the way Jenny acts so smug. She's of my fav new female artists and I don't like her attitude in here. Ye' Lay did a bit of dancing in here.

"Moe" is a video with a story plot. Ye' Lay and May Thet Khine met on the road and he rescued her from being hit a little tree branch. The tree branch hit her umbrella. She must have fixed that umbrella 'cuz they are using it later on. They fell in luv and play around in the rain. One day Ye' Lay was holding an envelope in his hand and his face looked worried. Some girl fainted in front of him and he acted like he was seeing her in front of his gf so that she'll hate him. He did that 'cuz he got leukemia. And to prove that his nose started bleeding. He was in the hospital later and his friend shot videos of him gf and show them to him. He wanted to see her so he sneaked out of the hospital with a hat and a jacket as a disguise and took a taxi to her house. Humm. he must have some money in that jacket then for the taxi fare. His nose bled a small stream of blood on the way. He imagined that his gf will be very pleased to see him but when he got her house, he saw a whiteboard announcing the girl death. And he just fell over and died. Not so tragic huh?

"Eain Pyan Chain" is one of the most boring video I've watched. Since the lyric is about not wanting to part with his gf and mentions taking a walk, all he and Yadanar do mostly is walk and walk. I skipped that video twice and only watched it till the end for this review.

"Nga Ko Pyaw Par (Tell Me)" is my favorite song on this album. This video featuring Uranium dance group who are claimed the best dancers in Myanmar. When the video started, I thought oh...this is not bad but I spoke too soon. The model girl, Zin Zin Zaw ruined the video. I am surprised that her main purpose in this whole video is just to stare. It might have been a better video if she was excluded. I like the background scenes in this video. I think this was shot way early in the morning. Ye' Lay danced a bit here but just a bit. Well, I shouldn't have been thinking about Minwoo when I was watching this.

"Main Kalay" video isn't one of my favorite also. Gosh, Si Thu Lwin hairstyle is really bad. He should have lose that right after Thingyan was over. Ye' Lay looked sick in here. He would have looked pretty cute if he didn't look so pale. My brother said it's because of the lighting. I don't like seeing a black shade at the corners of the screen. I don't think they were added on purpose. The model girl isn't that bad here. She also just stare in the camera but at least she's better.

"Lo At Chin" is my second fav track but this video is one of the video who makes me laugh. Zam Nuu voice is amazing but she shouldn't have put her hair on her shoulder like that 'cuz her hair is really frizzy. She also shouldn't bend her body so much in front of the camera 'cuz her body shape looks like a S shape. While she was screaming in the camera, Ye' Lay moving his hands around in the background. I don't know what the heck he's doing. In this video, Ye' Lay lives in a moving van and he's breaking up with Pyei Phoo Khine so he sent all of the things she gave him back to her. There was a scene where he slide on the floor and hug her around the waist and it just cracks me up. I wonder how many NGs where shot to get that right. Whenever I listen to this song, I always compared with Sai Sai's song "Why" as both songs featured the same female singer. I was kinda expecting the video to be as good as Sai Sai's version so I was a bit disappointed.

"Ta Nae Nae Yauk Khae Yin" is directed by Ye' Lay. This video also bored and I only watched the ending after skipping it twice before so that I will know the ending. It was only till I saw the ending that I realized that this was based on his first love story. He said on City FM that his first love was a girl who moved away in 7th grade and he didn't get the chance to tell her his feelings. I guess the ending is supposed to be sad but I was cracking up again after seeing him run such a long way to reach her house. Why couldn't he just grab a taxi instead?

"Yin Khone Than Sagar Lay Ta Khon" is my favorite video. The lyric is a pop rap version and the video is really just cheesy but I still like it. Nay Chi Lin Lei' is really beautiful. She was singing along to the lyrics and it fits her really well. The main reason I like this video is 'cuz Ye' Lay looks extremely cute. My sister and I call this video 'overdose' of Ye' Lay :D.

"Hiphop Law Ka Atwat" is the only real hiphop track in this album. This song features Chan Aye Win and some of his friends such as Htein Win and Zaw Zaw. Ye' Lay changed his image in here to look more like a rapper but his face expression cracks me up again. I like Chan Aye Win's rapping style. He's cool. (I wonder when his solo album will be released). I once wrote that I like his rapping style while Ye' Lay was overdoing it at his birthday show when they performed this song in my Myanmar version blog.

"Eain", the title of his album isn't my favorite song at all. I hated it 'cuz I don't like hearing him cry while singing. I thought about not watching this video at all but I decided to watch it anyway and this is not so bad. That kid Heavy Phyo can act even though he gets on my nerves sometimes in some videos and cfs. Htun Htun Win and May Thinzar Oo are the parents and they were alway fighting in front of the kid. One day she saw an earring in his pocket and they got into a fight and he left them. He was with another woman while they had to struggle to survive. Later that kid grew up to be Ye' Lay and he became famous. By that time, Htun Htun was filled with regret and he was deeply touched watching his son singing about him. So he went back home and the family was united. I think the little girl wasn't that necessary in this video.

"A Chit Nae Ta Nay Tar" is the video advertising the watches. The advertising is just so obvious and that makes me not want to even continue watching the video. Another reason why I won't watch this video again is 'cuz of the disturbing images of he and Moe Hay Ko almost kissing. I am not judging this by saying oh.. this is so against our culture.. blah blah blah 'cuz I know that I'm just a fan who dont' like see my fav guy in the arms of another person even though they are just acting. If it was another person almost kissing MHK, I probably wouldn't even mind at all.

"Nauk Sone Min Nae" song totally sounds like a copy song sang by Si Thu Lwin. Rebecca Win was the model here and I am not that much fond of her anymore. She was wearing a short jean skirt at the start of the video and I was thinking would it have kill her to wear something more appropriate for the camera or the vcd censor board. I don't care what she wears outside but she's shooting a mv here so at least she should have been considerate about her dressing style. Even though this song is pretty slow and sounds so much like "Back At One", the mv is nicely directed.

There are 2 bonus videos from his birthday show included at the end. The first one is "I don't Know" which is a real live performance with him and the fans. This made me think back about his live show and I like the fact that he didn't exclude the fan voices singing in union.

The last video is his last performance of "Hteik Sone Hmar A May". Before performing that song, he had a few chat with the fans and then he brought his mom on stage and asked her to say something to the fans. After that the song is re-edited so it's not a real live version. I guess this was done 'cuz he wasn't paying attention to singing all of the lyrics. There was constant interruptions by people coming up on stage to take photos or give out presents to him. Would it have killed them if they give out those presents to him later but no, they just have to come on stage and interrupt the singers while they are performing. I really have this thing against those people.

So, overall I won't give this a thumb up and I won't give a thumb down also. And It still was worth buying.

Ye' Lay's Home VCD Will Be Released on July 21th

The vcd karaoke for Ye' Lay's second solo album titled "Home" is set to released on the July 21th. There would be autograph sessions with the singer in the afternoon at Sein Gay Har Center on Pyay Road and in the evening at Yankin Center. I can already imagine the big crowding gathering to see Ye' Lay and get his autograph. He'll be helding promotions for his new vcd release in Mandalay, Magway, Pyay, Mawlamyaing and Phar An. He must be really tired afterward after all these promotion events are over 'cuz he won't have time to rest that much starting from the release date. His promotion schedule was announced in the newspaper and his last promotion event is on the 27th in Pha An. I wish him luck on his album sales. I know that by the evening of this Saturday, the street vendors will be selling pirated vcds on the street. I intend to buy the original as I have started to like his songs a bit more than when I first bought the album. But I will only be able to buy it at the end of the month. I can't always be spending my money on entertainment all the time.

A month ago, that song was remake by 2NB and Free Style. I like both version of the songs. The rapping sounds really nice in the new version. I saw a download link for the 2nd version music video yesterday on the net and I decided to check it out. I knew the story is gonna be sad but I was really disappointed with the video. Cheapest Cybercafe in Town

I heard from my friend that Soft Link cyber cafe is the cheapest cyber cafe in town 'cuz it only charges 200 kyats per hour. She said she was so surprised for being asked to pay only 400 kyats for 2 hours she spent at the cafe. I used to go to Soft Link located on Bo Aung Kyaw Road but the cafe she went to is located near the Myanma Post Office. It's probably a brunch cafe of Soft Link. Most cyber cafes charges 400 kyats per hour so 200 kyats is actually cheap. So if you happen to be around that area and feel like using the internet, you might as well check this place out. I'm not sure whether it's the same price at Soft Link on Bo Aung Kyaw Road but I think the prices are the same there also.

YKKO Meeting

Yesterday I met up with a couple of forum members at YKKO at Hledan. This time more people came to the meeting than last week's meeting at SS. I didn't like Kyay Oo so I ordered Pork Ar Pu Shar Pu. The food is good but there was too much pepper in the soup and I felt really hot later on. I didn't get much chance to talk with the members this time 'cuz I was seated at the far corner of the table. So I only managed to talk with Ma Apex and those sitting near me.

I left the place around 8 pm to catch the 107 bus home. The bus wasn't in good shape but the driver still drove it till it broke down at Lan Ni bus stop. I had to catch a taxi from there to reach home with Ma Latt and 2 other passengers from the bus. Thank god it didn't broke down while it was driving in Inya Myaing. It's hard to get a ride in there.

New Hair Style

I had a haircut on Tuesday evening after work at 12 Lone Tan. It's at a small beauty saloon which started opening on that day. I probably was the first customer. Maybe that's why I got discount. The lady washed my hair first and she applied shampoo on my hair for like 4 times. It really was a long process and maybe my hair was just too dirty. I even got bored while lying down on the sofa bed. After my hair was washed, she started cutting my hair. This time my hair is really short. I am pleased with this style except for the part of hair at front which kept getting in eye. I had to use a hairclip to keep it away from my eyes but that just ruins the hairstyle. I am thinking of making that front part shorter but I'm afraid that I'll have to face the same thing again when that hair got longer after being cut. People said that I look younger with my new look and that's the compliment I was searching for :)

I was thinking of going to a famous beauty salon at first 'cuz I wanted my hairstyle to handled by a professional. My friend told me that if I go there, an assistant hairdresser would probably cut my hair since I am not a regular customer. The hairdresser from where I got my haircut used to work at that place and since she already has experiences from working at that salon, I decided to go to her place instead. I couldn't believe that I only had to pay 2000 kyats for the service including hair washing. I didn't go there 'cuz that place is cheap but I guess she gave me a discount since I was a friend of SYM who is her regular customer.

I tried to take my picture to show my new hairstyle at my blog but I decided not to post it 'cuz I scare myself after looking at the pictures I took with my camera. I hardly look nice in my pictures 'cuz most of them are pictures of me frowning or looking silly while wearing glasses. I tried not to frown but I can't help it 'cuz when I took off my glasses, my eyes instantly focus on the camera and that's when I started frowning. I usually look like I have an issue with the photographer in my photos. I am the kind of person who would give headaches to photographers who take those beauty photos or whatever you call them. I don't' waste my money trying to take those kind of photos anyway.

Maybe someday when somebody took my photo and if I look nice in it, I might post my photo here then.

Dongwan - Handkerchief

I watched Dongwan's new music video last night. What I can say about the mv is that I won't be watching it again unless I want a glimpse of Dongwan. It's pretty boring. Dongwan is a cop and his partner is the lead actor from Hello God drama. I don't remember his name. They were probably working as undercover agents and they found a girl in the trunk of a car. They rescued her and I guess she lives together with them. She fell in luv with the another guy. One day, the other guy got beat up pretty badly. So he went to see the boss and arrested him. They had a couple of fight but Dongwan won in the end. I thought it was gonna be a love triangle but it didn't look like a love triangle. The song isn't that catchy but it's starting to get to me after repeating it over and over again. I guess the song is supposed to be sad but it doesn't sound that much sad to me. His live performance will be aired on TV pretty soon. I'm looking forward to seeing his performances.

My New Watch

This is the watch my father bought for me on Sunday. I went to downtown with him first but the watch stores he wanted to buy from was closed so we went to Cherry Oo. I didn't take much time choosing the watch 'cuz I just chose the one the sales girl showed me. It suited my purpose anyway. I just need a watch which is made out of steel and the numbers of the watch should be big enough for me to read easily. My mother and sister said my watch looked dull. My sister said it looked like some cheap watch. So much for the encouragement but I still like my watch. The "DM" on the watch stands for Dennis Martin but I don't really know that brand. I'm not much into branded stuff anyway. I just want a nice watch which will last for at least 2 years.

While I was waiting for the phone call, I was trying to study for a mock test in my Korean class. But my sister invited her friend home and they were on the computer, playing music loudly so I couldn't concentrate at all. I didn't even feel like studying in the first place. I don't know what I'm supposed to study. I didn't know about the test till Wednesday. She told us what will be on the test on Wednesday which is to study back all the lessons she had taught. Luckily, I have already memorized most of them so I don't need to worry about it. My Friday teacher didn't come so I couldn't ask her what might be on the test. Even if I didn't pass this test, it doesn't matter 'cuz it's not the actual exam.

Not Exactly a Nice Weekend

It hasn't exactly a nice weekend for me, at least on Saturday 'cuz something got into my eye as I was sitting at the Rakhine Moat Tee shop and I had trouble with my eye which kept tearing up if I look longer. I couldn't concentrate on anything so I couldn't even watch TV nor read books. I was in a lousy mood afterward and I got scolded by my mother for throwing my clothes on to the floor 'cuz I had intended to wash them the next day but she said she spent her times folding them neatly while cleaning my room. I really don't like anyone to touch my things and I appreciate the help but she mixed up my new clothes with worn clothes so I got frustrated as the smell from the worn clothes got mixed up with the new ones. In the end, I had to wash most of them the next day. My mother suggested that I should get keep cleaning my eye with water and not rubbed it. She said I was stupid to rub it with my hand (but I was using tissues) and said I have no knowledge of health. She said the pain will be gone when I waked up the next day. I didn't believe her but the pain was gone and I was able to open my eyes. The only problem was my eye looked like I was being punched in the eye. Oh, well. it's better than not being able to see clearly.

I spent Sunday morning washing all of my clothes and all of them dried up in the afternoon due to endless sunshine. The electricity went out around 9 am and didn't come till 1 pm. Later I learned that only some part of the neighborhood got power failure while the rest of them didn't have power failure. I ate lunch quickly and watched Innocent Steps movie. It was my second time watching the movie and I still loves it. I feel like dancing while watching the movie but then I don't even know how to dance. I think I might have cried a bit during my first time but I didn't cried at all this time but I could hear my sister sniffing beside me. Sometimes I wonder whether I've changed a bit in emotions while watching films. I rarely cry watching them now. The last time I cried was when watching Crying Out Love in the Center of the World which was pretty sad.

In the evening, my mother took to to a shoe shop nearby and bought sandals for me and my sister. The design aren't that bad and it fits for the rainy season. I was getting sick of wearing my old Adda sandals 'cuz they don't match with my clothes sometimes. I have a habit of wearing one shoe or sandal till it's completely worn out and not suitable to wear anymore. The same goes for watches. I had this watch which my mother gave me and I had been wearing it for like 5 or 6 years. Now it's broken and someone told me it's gonna cost more to fix it than to buy a new watch. My mother gave me a new watch but I don't like it 'cuz I miss my old watch.

Anyway, back to the topic after I got home, the electricity is out so I spent my time reading Deception Point by Dan Brown, having dinner and then trying to translate the Korean story given by my teacher. I gave up halfway 'cuz there are too many words which aren't included in the pocket dictionary which I was using as that was the only Korean-English dictionary at home. I went back to reading Deception Point till the electricity comes back at 10:40 pm. I tried to find the Korean words using the dictionary I installed in the computer but still haven't get back with much results. I'm going to just scan it with ocr and then translate it using online translation website.

My Usual Days at UFL + Random Rambling

It has been awhile since I wrote about my student life at UFL and I promised a friend a long time ago that I'll explain her how we are taught but I forgot to do that.

I always leave work after 4:15 pm on Mon, Wed, Fri to attend UFL. On the way at Hledan Junction, I'll go to eat Rakhine Moat Tee from a shop in front of Pyi Myanmar mall. Even when I told myself that I'll try other foods, I always end up eating the same food every time. The food is great but sometimes the shop is crowded and seats aren't available till someone else get up. Another problem is that it's troublesome to cross the road from the junction. The traffic lights hardly ever turn green and it only lasted for a few minutes when it does. Once I heard that a bridge was going to be constructed but I guess the plan got rejected or something 'cuz of a condo or is it another shopping mall? at the junction.

Usually I just walk to UFL from Hledan. It's not tiring for me 'cuz I'm used to walking. Sometimes I can catch the 42 bus at the traffic light. Just as I come near to UFL, I have to come across another traffic light. It's also a bit hard to cross the road 'cuz when the lights turn green, the cars which are going to Inya Road will pass by immediately and I couldn't cross till they are gone but by then the light would turn red. I can go half before it turns red but then while I'm waiting in the middle, those cars going to New University road from Inya Road will pass in front of me and sometimes I felt like they are going to crush my feet as they pass by. I wish there's like a traffic police man or someone who will help us to cross the road.

Before I pass through the UFL gate, I have to put my student id around my neck and as I pass through the gate, I can feel all eyes are on me. No, I'm not popular or anything. The ones who are watching are the 'fashion police' of UFL. When I mean by 'fashion police', I'm referring to the teachers stationed at the gate. Their job is to keep a lookout for students who aren't wearing the id card, anyone who aren't wearing the appropriate clothing, guys with earrings and last of all and most recently, they are looking for any students with dye hair. Recently, I saw one of the teacher scolding two students and she was saying one of the student said that she dyed her hair 'cuz it looks good on Rebecca Win and the teacher said. well, Rebecca Win isn't from our university is she? (Actually she was a UFL student who major in Japanese but I think she graduated by now. Now that I think about it, one of the girl from Bambino is attending UFL and I wonder if she also gets into trouble for her dyed hair. )

Personally I have no problem with dye hair. I used to think that dye hair don't suit with Myanmar people but that is because I've seen some of them dye their hair red, in attempt to imitate Si Thu Lwin whose hair was dyed red at that time. But after Korean dramas became popular, people started to dress better and their hairstyles changed also. I noticed that more people dyed their hair nowadays and they are good at choosing colors which suit with their skins. I really don't understand why it's such a problem to have students with dyed hair in the university. I don't think UFL is the only place which is restricting these ridiculous rules. It's already enough that we aren't allowed to wear skirts, pants and jeans to class.

I really get pissed that I can't wear 'bi skirt' to UFL and it is again another ridiculous rule that they have imposed on the rules. If you are wondering what is a 'phi skirt', I'll explain to to you. Back in the days, Myanmar women will wear 'longyi' (it's called htamin in Myanmar) which is a piece of garment sewed together and wrapped around the waist. Modern day ladies would wear 'htamain skirt' which are skirts in the form of 'longyi' but they aren't actual longyi so you don't have the trouble to wrapping it around the waist and instead it's held together by clothes pin. (This isn't the exact word but I don't know how to call it). Those skirts look exactly like real longyi so I had no trouble wearing them to UFL. "Phi Skirt" is also another type of 'htamain skirt' but it's sewn together more like a real skirt and the only different is that it's cut up in the front so you can walk and it would look like a htamain. Sometimes when the 'phi skirt' isn't sewn properly or it's not handled by a good designer, the front part will always flap open when you walk and your legs can be seen from the opening. I think the fashion police has a problem with that 'cuz they don't want to see any students revealing her legs. They also don't allow wrapped skirts, the kind that you wear at the beach. There are so many rules and even through I don't like them, I had to follow them as I want to learn at their place. There's a Japanese phrase for this situation. It's "Shoi Gar Nai" which is the informal way of saying "Shikata Ga Nai" which means it can't be help and there's nothing you can do about it. I'm not bad mouthing the teachers. It's just their jobs to attend at the gate but still I'm just speaking out loud.

Aside from the fashion police, I like the university. I like how it's so peace and quiet and not so crowded. I wished I could have attend English major at that university but my grades were so poor that I wouldn't even be able to set a foot in that place if not for the evening classes (and morning diploma classes). Our class is situated right next to the canteen on the first floor. I think it's called a Myanmarsar building where they teach foreigners Myanmarsar. I'm not so sure about it but the class rooms names start with Myan which is the abbreviation for Myanmarsar. We have three teachers in our class. The first teacher teaches the main lessons from the orange books. Personally, I don't think he wanted us to learn like this, just reading dialogues after dialogues 'cuz it's too easy for us except for the fact that we don't know the words. We haven't even got to reading paragraphs in our lessons so lately he's also teaching us how to read paragraphs and translated them on our own so we would proceed further than just reading dialogues. This Monday, he said there'll be a listening exam on the final exam so he taught us one lesson on listening to a native Korean speaking and try to understand what she was saying. By the time the class was over, I managed to understand most of the words 'cuz he also taught us the meaning but I still don't catch the exact words she used in the cassette tape. I hope our exam won't be that hard 'cuz we are still not used to listening lessons which we rarely have in our class. He taught us in Basic 1 and he was the one who tested me for speaking.

Wednesday teacher focus on yellow book and she makes all of us memorized each and every word and repeat them without looking back in the book. It was a bit hard to do that at first 'cuz I wasn't used to memorizing the words so quickly but now I'm getting the hang of it. If this was an English lesson class and the teacher told us to memorized the sentences, I would say it's ridiculous 'cuz it's not going to help the student learn English. That's what my ex-tutor asked the other students to do back in 10th grade just so they can fill in the blanks on the exam. But as for Korean class, I think I can surely say that all of us are rather lazy students who don't pick up the books till we arrive in the class so by memorizing the sentences, we learn more than we normally do 'cuz we hardly study at home. As least that's true for me. The only time I ever look up on Korean words beside in class when I'm reading Korean lyrics or searching for Korean songs in hangul.

Friday teacher teaches us grammar. Sadly, we still haven't received the proper grammar book which the Monday teacher said we might be taught from that book, making it easier for us to understand the grammar. As for now, the teacher will teach the grammar lessons from the orange books and do a quick revision on the dialogues. She doesn't like students who come in later than her and if that student comes in late, she would say 'one cup of coffee' which means that student should treat us coffee for being late. Of course nobody really treat us for coffee but still she said it every time she's in class.

My post is really long now 'cuz I have to so much to say. Now I'm tired and I'll translate this to Myanmar later.

Complaints About Internet Connection

Lately I had been waking up early in the morning at 6:30 am even before my alarm clock starts to ring. Normally, I only get up at 7:10 am. So I've been arriving to work earlier even before 9 o'clock. That's kinda good 'cuz I get more chance to use the internet before work starts. The connection is extermely lousy. As soon as the clock turns to 12, the connection went down completely and I can barely surf the net afterward. I haven't been able to keep up with forum and others stuffs due to it.

You might think I'm a drama download freak but it's really annoying for me that I can't download dramas from the net anymore 'cuz of the connection. I can barely download from megaupload and sendspace. Only mediafire works for me. I had been relying on youtube to watch some dramas but now even youtube doesn't work for me anymore. I can watch it online but I can't download anything from there.

At least thank god that I can still use stage6.divx.com 'cuz I can watch Proposal Daisakauen from there. I watched episode 6 last night and I felt really sad. I have downloaded up to episode 7 from there now and waiting for the rest of the episodes.

Ye' Lay J me Album Review

I bought Ye' Lay and J me album on Sunday. I had been waiting for that album release ever since I saw the album cover photo at Native Myanmar forum. I wasn't disappointed with the album. There are 9 songs in total, J me sang 5 songs and Ye' Lay sang 4 songs. And again the total number of songs is 9. Ever since 9 Night was released, this is the third hip-hop album with only 9 songs. I don't think it's a coincidence. Those people who aren't satisfied with only 9 songs in J me's solo album will be happy to hear these songs.

I like all songs by J me. The second song feature Bo Lay and the lyric book said he also sang in the fourth song but I don't recognize his voice in that song. The fifth song 100 % Percent is sang in English and I'm surprised that it passed the censor board. Maybe it's okay to curse in English but not okay to curse and use rude words in Myanmar.

I'm a bit disappointed to hear the first song by Ye' Lay 'cuz it's just a regular mixed song between pop and r&b. My eyes were falling asleep while listening to that song and it only got wider on the second song. But I also didn't like that song that much probably because of the chorus part and the way he sing hello. I like the rest of the songs by him. I think Chan Aye Win featured in the third song but I don't recognize his voice. He performed that song with Chan Aye Win at his birthday show.

After I have listened to this collaboration album, I realized that I like J me more than Ye' Lay.

I bought this album to show my support to both of my favorite singer and I suggest that you do the same also. I'm sure this album will be shared online and I'm also guilty for doing that 'cuz I want to share them with my friends who are living aboard and unable to buy this album.

Pissed Off Again

Today is the last day before my Thingyan holiday. I was having a good time, just listening to musc, working, and saving some tutorials. My brother came to my office after lunch and I thought he came to return the usb he took from me but no he said he needed some codecs so I copied them for him and he left without returning. I've been waiting for his return for 2 hours and finally I went to the office he was working and they said he left 2 hours ago. Damn it...I am getting sick of this. I don't care if it's work or not. I told him that I want to use my usb today. Why is that when I bought something or borrow something, everyone hogs it and I never have time to use them on my own. If I borrow a book, my sister will be reading it first.

I swear I am not going to stand this anymore. No more sharing among siblings. If they want it, they can buy it on their own.

Last Day of Class

My Korean Basic I ended last Friday. I had to take a written exam on Wednesday and oral exam on Friday. I was nervous about the exams so I took a day off from work on Wednesday to study. I had been under some stress at work and it was better for me to study at home and then take the exam. Although I was studying the whole day, I did managed to watch the first episode of The Devil and I was gonna continue watching Witch Yoo Hee but my mother stopped and said I should be studying. I regretted not continuing watching the drama 'cuz the exam was so darn easy except for listening. I thought it was gonna be hard so I was studying the whole grammar book but all I had to do was fill in the blanket. The listening exam was supposed to be easy if only I can hear the dialogues more clearly. It seemed that the teachers at UFL are still using old textbooks and cassette tapes.

On Friday, the teachers divided the class in half and I had to go to another classroom along with other students whose roll numbers are after 26. I was a bit nervous 'cuz the teacher was asking other students why do you take the Korean class? Most of them answered that 'cuz it's interesting. Then he asked why is it interesting and others couldn't answer him back 'cuz they didn't know the proper words. I was a bit lucky for my exam 'cuz before my turn came up I asked the student next to me how to say "I want to speak Korean" and that's what I answered when he asked why is Korean class interesting for you. The sentence wasn't proper so he fixed it himself :). He asked me my age and I had to ask him to repeat it 2 times and finally I caught the word "Sar" which means age. The rest of the questions were much easier 'cuz he asked me if I like Korean movies and of course I do and then he asked me which movie I like. I couldn't answer him properly 'cuz I didn't study the adjective usage and I didn't know the Korean title. I answered that I like King & the Clown. I'm surprised that that's all I had to answer. I actually was wishing that he would asked me which movie I like or which actor I like the most as I was holding Lee Junki's keychain in my hand before he called my name.

After everyone had taken the exam, there was some time left so he continued to teach a lesson from the text book. We asked him to teach us a song but he said he couldn't find the song and there wasn't enough time to write down the lyrics. Too bad, other classes were having fun singing songs and stuff and we had to continue learning on the last day of the class.

Now that exams are over and the class just ended, I'll have free time to use the internet at work time is over. The next class won't be open till May.

Rejected

The exam result for the MOFA PSC came out last Friday on the website. My mother called me on Saturday to check it out and so I did. I had to install Myanmar2 keyboard layout to read the result and my heart was beating pretty fast as I was waiting for the installation to complete. I found my sister's name but I didn't see my name. Arr...another disappointment for me. I should have immediately listened to Antibiotic right away at the time but my mind was too occupied with the rejection. This is the second time I've been disappointed in 2 years, the first time with the trip to Korea thing and now this. I was rejected on the exam taken in 2005 but at that time I wasn't really into it and I only took the exam 'cuz of my parent's encouragement.

Before I can stop myself, tears dropped from my eyes. I really hate it when it happens. I didn't mean to cry but I'm such a weak person. Even though it was after office hours. people were still at the office and I couldn't care about them. I even shouted at one guy who was just asking me to let him use my headphone.

I tried to calm myself by watching some videos, I think I watched Heroes Episode 1 but I lost interest. Finally I remembered to listen to Antibiotic and so I did and was surfing the web trying to focus on something and finally I found something to focus on. I came upon a live journal group for Joo Ji Hoon and found a tutorial to make icons. As I was making the icons, I can forget about what happened earlier. I was working on the second tutorial when I was asked to leave the office as they are closing it. Oh, darn, I didn't get the chance to bring the tutorial home but at least I have an idea of how the colorization are done.

On my way home, it was really hard not to think about the exam result. I'm still not completely over it. What makes me really mad is that I spent all these hours studying while my sister was sleeping or reading novels and she still passed the exam for her second time. She didn't pass the personal exam the last time. I hope she get the job this time. With her out of the picture, maybe I might get a better chance next time.

I know I suck in Myanmar Sar. A lot of people will just laugh when I say it but I really do suck at Myanmar Sar. My essay written in Myanmar are just terrible. I never got fully trained in how to write Myanmar essays. I only had experiences in English essays but my skills aren't like it used to before as I have been out of touch with writing essays. I don't want to blame my tutor but she kinda of ruined my skills when I was asked to stop writing in cursive and to write only one page for an essay. Ever since my 10th exam, my skills degraded. And my university teachers aren't that much help either. They said the more you write, the more point you lose as those teachers who mark the papers had this strict code of 1 page per exam pinned to the brain.

I talked to my friend whose father work at MOFA. She said there might be another exam this year but I don't think it's possible. She's already attending tuition so that she can prepare for herself. I'll also need to prepare myself for the next round of exam. I can still take the exam until I turn 25. Now I'm 23, just 2 more months till June, and I still has my chance unlike my sister who's going to turn 24 in May. I think I'll apply for a course in translation at a monastery nearby. I heard that famous translators and editors came to teach at that place.

Curing Myself With Antibiotic

Currently listening to Antibiotic album to cure myself. I wished I had thought of listening to them earlier. I wished that my mother wouldn't have call me at work today.

I really love this band so much. They can make all the stress and troubles go away just by listening to a few songs. No other singers can do the same to me, not even Shinhwa, Ye' Lay or Sai Sai.

Also I'm checking this icon tutorial out. I'm feeling better working on icons. The tutorial is a bit wrong at the first part. Read my comment for the correction at that page.

This Week

Yesterday my friend's father passed away. I'm really sad to hear that. I went to the hospital with my mother and a friend to see him last month and he was doing better. He had to attend the hospital again so last week, my friend and my sister went there to visit him. I know I should have called her and should comfort her but I don't know what to say and my mother called her to ask about the funeral. The funeral will be on Saturday. My mother said I don't need to go and she'll go with my sister. I know I should attend the funeral but I already made an appointment with another friend to meet on Saturday at work. Beside, I can be very emotional sometimes. The last time I went to a funeral last year, I almost cried 'cuz I felt so sad although I didn't know the person at all. When something good or bad happens to someone, I don't know what to say to them. If it's a good thing, I just say oh, it's great...good for you. If it's bad, I say I'm sorry to hear that. What else should I say? Others people might say oh, it depends on fate or karma but I am not familiar with those words so I just kept my mouth shut.

Yesterday was also a bad day for my aunt 'cuz it was the funeral day for her baby. She passed away on Tuesday and when I heard about it, I thought it was the other child. I didn't even know that my aunt had another baby. My father will be mad at me for being so ignorant if I say that to him. I am always ignorant about relatives from his side. My mother said even though she was just 1 year old, a lot of people came to the funeral. My grandmother who hardly cry at funerals cried 'cuz she loves the baby. Everybody loves the baby but I didn't even know she existed. I kinda of feel bad about it.

Boy Group Shinhwa Members Go Solo for Now

Is Korea's longest running boy band Shinhwa splitting up?

It seems that Shinhwa members are focusing on solo projects, at least for now.

Shinhwa members Lee Min-woo and Andy Lee announced they are setting up their own record labels. Shin Hye-sung and Kim Dong-wan are also planning to release their solo albums. Eric Moon is currently starring in the TV drama "Que Sera, Sera", while Jun Jin has just finished promoting his single album.

Lee Min-woo, who is also known as M, is establishing M Rising Entertainment. In a statement, he said M Rising would focus on producing records and training new artists. He will produce his third solo album, which will be released in June.

Andy Lee, the youngest member of Shinhwa, is also setting up his record label ND Entertainment. ND stands for New Dream.

Since Shinhwa members have focused on solo activities and the group has not released an album for nearly a year, there has been widespread speculations the group may be breaking up.

To allay the fans' fears, the group's management agency said Shinhwa will be releasing its 9th album in October. It also said Shinhwa will do promotions from October to December with concerts in Korea, China, Japan and around Asia.

Shinhwa recently marked their 9th anniversary. In 1998, they made their debut under S.M. Entertainment.

Despite competition from younger boy bands like TVXQ and Super Junior, Shinhwa remains one of the most popular groups in Korea and around Asia. Last year, the group held successful concerts in Japan, Thailand, Singapore and China.

Shinhwa released their 8th album "State of the Art" last May. Since then, Shinhwa has only released their Japanese language album and a special edition "Winter Story 2006-2007" album.

Angel Live Show

I bought Angel Concert vcd from a pirate shop on my way back home. I didn't want to buy pirate vcds but I wasn't so sure about the quality of the vcd and I wanted to sample it before I buy the actual one. I'm so glad I didn't buy the original version. This is the worst concert I've ever watched. It's not because of the performances but the camera angles are that great and it wasn't done neatly. I don't know how to explain this but the best live show concert I've watched is Nge Chit Oo and A Lwan Yae' Nya. You might say they are fake concerts, not real live show but the camera shots are better.

When that concert took place, I asked my brother to go there and shoot some videos with our camera. I was able to watch a couple of performances before the vcd got out. I think our version of Sai Sai's performace is better than the one from the vcd. The vcd version sometimes lost focus on the singers and they are focusing more on the dancers whose dance steps really sucks. If you think shaking your butt will make you look sexy, so be it. They look more like poor imitation of western dancers who portray sexy dances.

There aren't much to comment on the rest of the performances 'cuz most of them are dubbed with studio recorded version so they don't sound nothing like from the live show unless you count hearing the fan shouting at the end of some performances. I can defiantly tell by DBeez's performance 'cuz they sounded terrible in the fancam video my brother recorded. He was the only one in the crowd who was recording the show except for the camera men and although I can't see him in the crowd, I can see our camera in almost every performance :) I said to him, Hey Look. you are in the live show and he was trying to spot himself but all he can see was the camera :D

Anyway, back to the performances, I already like all songs except for Kyo Kyar & Cindy song (which was so boring) from disc 1 so I enjoy all the performances. Ye' Lay just sang a soft ballad/ rap and he doesn't look nice in that big black coat. I don't know why rappers have to imitate western rappers' clothing. Myanmar is a tropical country so you shouldn't be wearing winter clothing at a stage show which must have been really hot at that time. (My brother said it was very hot at the show). The best performance is Window by J-me. I think his voice wasn't edited over that much in the performance 'cuz he sounded like he was singing live. I like the way he was rapping in the performance. My sister was surprised to see the word 'weed' not being censor in the karaoke title from the vcd. Perhaps the people from the censor board aren't expect in English and rappers can get away with by saying words which sounds close to cussing in English. If they sing like that in Myanmar, they all got censor.

The other side of the disc (disc 2) contains rock, pop and alternative or whatever they call it songs and I think half of them are copy songs. Shin Phone copied a Chinese song (there's an English version also to this song) and made it a sweet love song which disgusted me 'cuz I like the original song and the original lyrics make more sense. I don't like Khin Bone's song but I like her hair style and her hair color matches so well with her skin. Sometimes I dream of dying my hair which color matches with my skin. I got that inspiration after seeing Amuro Namie. Khine Bone later performed the song Honey with Rebecca and Shin Phone. Shin Phone was wearing a mini dress over some black leggings which stop around her knees. I don't really know why it's a fashion to wear mini skirts, mini dresses over short tight pants in Yangon. Whenever I see someone wearing that, it reminds me of my elementary school. Little kids at that school also dressed like that at school at that time.

A Singer I Used to Like

I read an article about a singer online. It's not a good article 'cuz it was a one sided story about what kind of person he is. I am shocked to read about it 'cuz I am his fan. I've been his fan for 7 years and I couldn't believe that he was that kind of person.

I am not interested in reading celebrities gossips but I think this is more than a gossip. There's another short article which tells what he did to that person so I think it's true. I used to buy all his albums to show my support for him but now I'll stop doing that.

Even though I dislike him now, I still like his songs so I don't think I can hate the songs just 'cuz the singer is a bad person.

Armed Force Day Holiday @ Home

Since yesterday was Armed Force Day, I got to rest another day at home. On that day, I spent most of my times using the computer to create a few icons and watch dramas and movies. Times surely passed by when you are working on an icon, even through I was just following the examples from the tutorials. I continued watching Kimi Wa Petto drama to ep 8 and then skip to ep 10 'cuz I was curious about the ending. As I predicted, the main lead actors and actress got together but I didn't like that fact that Momo didn't continue studying at Frankfurt. If this was a Korean drama, he would probably have gone there and come back 3 years later 'cuz there's always separation between the two lovers in a happy ending drama.

After I finished Kimi Wa Petto (I still need to finishing the episodes I skipped), I watched Lovely Complex. I'm so glad that I watched this movie. It's so kawai (means cute in Japanese). I think Tommy said in forum that if this movie was to be remade in Myanmar, she wants Ye' Lay and Moe Hay Ko as the lead but I prefer Yadanar Pone 'cuz she's much cuter. I don't like Myanmar movies copying from Asian movies but it'll be fun to see this in Myanmar version but I doubt that this will ever be remade (even if they think about it) 'cuz in the movie, the girl confessed her love to the guy and it's like taboo here to do that. The actress reminds me of Han Ji Hye and Lee Da Hae sometimes in a cute way.

In the evening as I'm writing this blog now (I write it ahead 'cuz I might not have time when I'm working), my cousin turned on MRTV4 and I heard Ye' Lay' song so I rushed to the TV and there was an interview with him. He was always smiling in the interview and it's not fake, they were natural smiles. I wonder if he's like that all the time. But I don't like the interviewer 'cuz she was sitting so close to Ye' Lay that their knees are touching (and I'm not saying that 'cuz I'm jealous or anything). I think this is a bit old, around the time he released his 2nd album. He talked a bit about his stage show experience at Mya Yeik Nyo which made him and his mom cry 'cuz he only got to perform at 1 am in the morning. When asked about what he plans to do for the music, he said I planned on taking some times off to focus on song writing. Later, he said he's interested in both music and acting and the interviewer asked him which he prefers to do 'cuz he said that he was gonna focus on music. That's when he laughed again and said he's interested in both and planned to work hard in both categories. He said he's not satisfied with his current position and he's gonna work hard to gain more success. Ye' Lay. Fighting!

Yesterday I woke up early and started doing my laundry after I ate breakfast. Although I started early, I didn't finish till 1 pm probably 'cuz I was watching Shinhwa Tropical Concert while waiting for the clothes to get soak with soap. After I ate lunch, I took a shower and went to my uncle's house to drop off some vegetables. I ate some butter rice there although I ate lunch already but I couldn't resist eating it after seeing the fried nga pi kyaw. Their fried nga pi kyaw tastes really good. Afterward, I went to my cousin's house nearby and made plan with her to go shopping at the start of the month. I was planning to go to Sai Sai album promotion event but I won't have time for that and I want to do some shopping without my mother. I guess I'll have to ask my sister to go and buy the cds for us. We'll need to buy 2 cds to get the tickets for his birthday show at Hmaw Si Island. The first 300 who bought the cds will get the tickets.

Anyway, back to the subject, I went to Ice Youth library to return the books I rented 2 weeks ago. I can rent 2 books 'cuz I'm a Member C. If I was younger, I could have finish reading in one week and borrow new books but now I don't have much time to read books. I rented "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" last time but I didn't finish any of the books. I got bored with reading. This time, I didn't take much time to search books at the library 'cuz I found two books by Michael Crichton, "Prey" and "Sphere". I will probably finish both books since I like the author.

Later in the evening, I worked on some icons after getting some colorization guide from a girl from deviantart. I can't believe that people younger than me are so creative. That girl is only 14 and yet her artwork are so better than mine. I have a long way to go to success in the making on beautiful icons which I see on soompi artworks.

No, I'm not going to talk about a website. ThiGyarMin.com is a name of a dvd movie which I've watched at Nawaday cinema on Tuesday.

I've heard about this movie from a friend and had been wanting to watch it. The lead actor is Sai Sai and the director is Mg Myo Min so I thought it might be good. My mother was against us watching it from the beginning. She said she rather eat something good than watch Sai Sai movie. I should have listen to her :(

The plot isn't that much different from previous works of Mg Myo Min such as Rose Wine, Rose Cola and That Ta Ma Myauk Yin Khone Tan (I don't know how to translate that, 7th Heart Beat?). It's the usual story of guy trying to get the girl who is trapped under the control of her parents or brothers in this case.

Daewa (Sai Sai) and Chit Chit (Yadanar Pone) are lovers. Chit Chit's brother, Mone Dine (Pho Kyaw) doesn't like Daewa 'cuz he's a rapper and Mone Dine is a rocker. (Yeah, right all he did to portray himself as rocker is to wear all black and cowboy boots and hang rock singers' posters in his room. But Sai Sai's side is pretty much the same also, wear baggy pants & shirts, hang hip-hop singers' posters on the wall and sing some rap songs on stage.)

So he forbids his sister from seeing Daewa. When Thingyan comes, Mone Dine and Daewa set up mandats, one's a rocker mandat, another a hip-hop mandat. During the Thingyan era, Daewa and his friend Kyaw Su Soe (sorry, didn't really catch his name in the movie) tried every day to get to see Chit Chit by tricking her brothers and friends. They disguised themselves so that others won't recognize them. On the new year day, Daewa disguised himself as a granny and run away Chit Chit with him while others are busy washing the elders' hairs.

So, you might be thinking...what does this have to do with ThiGyarMin?

The movie started off with a screen which showed windows starup, logging into Bagan and opening IE and entered the address www.thigyarmin.com in the Google search bar. I was saying to myself that it's so stupid to write down an address of a website in a search engine box when you already know the address. I know the reason why it was done like that later 'cuz suddenly the Google logo disappeared and the movie titles were showed instead where the logo used to be.
In the end of the movie, a screen was show where Mone Dine wrote to ThiGyarMin on the home page of Google (yes...that's how it was shown) saying that ThiGyarMin should arrest Daewa for stealing his sister and ThiGyarMin replied that since this case is need to be research carefully, I'll decide what to do next year.

The lessons learned from this movie is
1) Rockers and Rappers don't get along.
2) One can always disguise yourself to see your girlfriend even when they are many people surrounding her.
3) In the end, the girl will run away with her boyfriend and that's the end of the story.

I went to see this movie, knowing it'll sucks 'cuz Sai Sai's the lead but still I wanted to watch it 'cuz it's a comedy. I did laugh at the movies but I was falling asleep most of the times. I can barely hear the sound in the theater and it doesn't help when the story is lame. I hate fake Thingyan. I was hoping to see something that is related to Thingyan but all I see is people jumping around on the stage while others are singing raps. Why do all these people need to be on stage when they aren't singing anyway? And it sure got on my nerves when I see some girls dressed in jeans, stopped Mone Dine's car on the new year day to ask for donation. This is the first time I ever see girls asking for donation with jeans on. I'm not saying girls can't wear jeans but it just doesn't match with the scene at all. One person is dressed in Myanmar shirt & longyi and the rest are in jeans.

I know I'm watching a Myanmar movie so I should expect typical background sounds and typical lame jokes in the movies but I really hate them. I hate those sounds which you hear in a funny scene or those lame jokes that you see in every comedy movies.

What I like about this movie is the makeup disguise for Sai Sai & Kyaw Thu Soe. I didn't recognize Sai Sai at first when he was disguised as an Indian plumber. I also thought that something was wrong with the granny who were sitting among the other elders and that was 'cuz the granny was Sai Sai.

I will never watch any Thingyan movies/ videos again except for Thingyan Moe.

What I've been doing lately

I admit that I haven't been updating this blog lately. Internet connection has been quite slow lately and I have to use proxy site to write at my blog. Also, I've been quite busy with work and reading NativeMyanmar during my free times. I can't seem to get away from my own two topics about TV dramas and say something here about celebs. I barely have time to surf other topics.

A few weeks ago, my classmate from UFL asked me to burn her some Korean drama songs and some English songs. Since I have most of the drama songs, I said I'll burn them for her. This Monday, she gave me 2 slips of paper, writing down all the albums and songs she wants. I had no problem with the Korean albums and I felt like crying when I read the English song list. There are total of 74 songs on her list. Luckily, I am able to find them from multiply. I hardly listen to English songs so if someone ask me where to download them, I didn't know what to answer.

While I'm working, I've been downloading a lot of kdrama & kmovie osts to start a new collection. I borrowed my kdrama collection cds to someone from UFL and she still haven't return them so I think it's better for me to start my own collection again. I'll be sharing those songs later, probably via multiply. The download is a bit slow but the links are valid and I won't have to worry about reuploading them later.

Trip to Pyinmana

I've already written about my trip to Pyimana. I thought about writing it in English but I am too lazy to do that. So to summarize what I wrote in Myanmar, I took the exam for MOFA on the 24th and 25th and came back home on the 27th. I stayed at a house which is a branch office from where he work so I didn't have to worry about hotel fees and plus the food expense is low since there's a cook at that house. I went to visit a mountain on the 26th and on the way, my sister accidentally dropped our camera and now we have to send it to repair shop. My brother went home that day with the train and he called us at night. He said there was an accident with the train and he had to come home via a bus. He said it happened at around 3:30 pm and that was the same time my sister dropped her camera. Maybe it's just coincidence but it sure gave me the creeps when I think about it. I came back on the next day with the train and the ride back home wasn't pleasant 'cuz I have to share the seat with a granny who wouldn't get up from the seat. Since she was old, my friend and I didn't want to argue with her so we just sat beside her. My sister and a friend who sat way back in another trailer was among the trailers which got left behind after the chain connecting the trailers broke. Luckily, we weren't that far away so the train was able to drive backward and chained the trailers. I arrived at home at 2 in the morning 'cuz the train arrived late.

My Plan for February

I know I've been lagging behind with updating my blog lately. I've been quite busy to write anything except a couple of posts in forum and the internet had been quite slow, barely able to use it during work time. I had to doing a sort of meditation when surfing the net, taking my breath in as I pressed enter, release and taking another breath in while press refresh. After pressing refresh for five times, I lost my patience and started cursing at the connection. Well, so much for meditation....

I've been taking leaves from work on Saturdays for three weeks, having attending some tuition to prepare for PSA exam for MOFA. I took the same exam last year, didn't pass but still haven't given up hope. So far I've managed to study abit while the electricity is down. I can't seem to concentrate on studying when the electricity is on. Maybe I should thank the EPC for cutting the electricity. Fat chance. The electricity only comes 6 hours a day. Today the electricity comes from 5:00 Pm to 11:00 pm. Then it will go out and only comes back at 11:00 am the next day to 5:00 pm. Then it went out again and comes back at 5:00 am to 11:00 pm the next day. While others parts of the city is getting electricity for like nearly 24 hours, the rest of us are suffering from it. Whenever a fire breaks out, most of the cases are related to electricity blackouts.

Anyway, I've been preparing for the exam memorizing the texts and forgetting the next day. Otherwise, I'll be watching Death Note or My Sister in law is 19. I was introduced to Death Note by Tommy who kept mentioning alot about in her posts in forum and Ko Mg Yoe shared some links to download the anime. I watched the first episode of the anime first and was hooked on to it. I watched the first part of the Death Note movie and can't help liking Kira even though he's the killer but I don't like him that much in the anime. Since I decided (or at least tried to) not to watch dramas and movies with the computer to concentrate on the exam, I've been watching them during my free times at work. When people are sitting around me or crowded around me, I watch the anime and when they aren't around, I watch the kdrama. It's kinda annoying when you are watching a drama and someone notice that you are doing so and started crowding around you, watching from the back. I learned my lesson with Sweet Spy drama.

Ah...just 2 more days till the end of the month. I'm looking forward to get my pay roll but I know I'll be receiving less than usual as I've been taking 3 leaves this month. I need to go to Yuzana Plaza as usual to buy blank cds and dvds. I won't be able to buy any dvds there 'cuz I heard there was a raid and 6 people were captured for the illegal distribution of dvds. At least that's what I heard from the dvd shop downtown. I guess I will just buy one from Hledan but sometimes they charge extra for popular dvds even though they are the same price. I wonder what I should buy. I know I won't have time to watch them but I still like collecting kdramas to watch someday when I get the time. There are still a lots of drama to buy. Pretty soon, I would be able to setup a kdrama rental shop according to my mother.

Random Thoughts

I'm really supposed to be finishing my work this evening. I was working on it the whole day and I thought it was finished but I was told that I was supposed to work on a new one instead of editing the old one. Darn, why wasn't I told earlier?

I can't concentrate on my work and the main reason was because I'm surfing for icons of TaeYang from Big Bang. I've become a bit obsessed with Big Bang lately and he's my fav among them. I wasn't into them at first when they came out and that was because I didn't listen to their songs much. I became interested after seeing My Girl mv in which TaeYang's the only solo singer in there beside the rapping by G-dragon and Tempo. I am a bit disappointed that I can't find much pics of his icons online. Looks like I'll have to create my own. I'll post his pictures later after I start my collection.

Ah...I should be going home now. I'll finish my work tomorrow. I got until noon. I got UFL class tomorrow evening. We moved to a new one which is located on the 4th floor. The good thing is there are no more mosquitoes but the bad thing is you have to climb all the way to the top and by the time you come down, it's hard to catch the bus from the outside the gate.

On Thursday, I'll be only working for half-day. I have an important even to attend to :D. It's Ye' Lay birthday and he'll be celebrating his party with a mini concert (stage show) at Kandawgyi starting from 5pm. I don't need to pay stage show fees. I just have to bring something to donate to orphans. It's really great that he's celebrating his birthday with us fans and he's doing it for free. And also he wants us to donate stuffs as a way of giving presents to him.

Aish...it's almost 7 o'clock. Looks like I've been forgetting the time. Normally, I leave earlier and at least I was aware that I should be leaving soon.

On New Year Eve, I stayed home and barely even noticed that the clock turned 12 till someone shouted Happy New Year on the street. I was the only one awake in the house except for my brother who went out with his friends. We don't celebrate new year at my house so new year eves are always like this, either I'm asleep or I'm awake listening to City FM.

On New Year day I read Michael Crichton in the morning and made an arrangement to meet a friend at her house downtown. I met my sister on the bus and we went to downtown together. I chatted with my friend and left her house to go to China Town. I was hoping to buy Beautiful Days drama but I could only find the Chinese dubbed version.

I was about to go home but I remember my father asking me to buy roasted duck for him. He didn't tell me the shop name and said it's near Sule Pagoda. So there I was walking back and forth along Anawyahtar Road till I found the shop. But then the chicken wasn't ready and they said it'll take awhile. So I had to walk back to Pansoedan and come back home empty-handed. I wanted to buy him something to eat that day but he said he only wanted to eat that chicken roast. Maybe next time I go to downtown, I'll buy it for him.

I get a lot of holidays in the past month and this month also. January 4th is Independence Day so our office will be close. I think I'll be home again this holiday also.

U.F.L Classes Close for Two Weeks

U.F.L is closed for two weeks which means I don't have to leave work early on Mon, Wed, and Fri. Although I like learning Korean, I don't like having to leave work early especially when there are works left behind. It's been 3 months now since I attended the class. After two weeks, our class might have to change classroom as we have become the 'old' class. When the teachers first said about it, I thought they were walking about us moving to '9th' grade 'cuz the words 'old' and 'koe' which is 9 in Bamar are similar. We took a small quiz on Monday, another teacher did grammar review on Wednesday, and on Friday my fav speaking teacher taught us some lessons and then she taught us a song. She wrote the lyrics on the board and we had to copy them down. I was too busy copying to recognize the songs but some girls recognized them immediately and asked the teacher if it's that song from Sad Sonata which ended airing a few weeks ago. It's quite popular but I rarely watched 'cuz I always arrived late when it airs on MWD. Anyway, back to the song, after we copied the lyrics, she translated the song and played it via a cd player and we had to sing along. The English class next door was having a party and was noisy but after the song was played, all the noise quieted down a bit he he...Maybe they were also listening along with us. We could leave early that day but we asked her to play other songs so she played a Lies song by GOD, one of my fav song by GOD. Other people look blank when they were listening 'cuz they probably never heard it before. It seemed like the teacher and I were the only who were enjoying the song. Later the students were all around the teacher, asking her to lent her cds to them. They wanted to listen to that theme song from Sad Sonata and I wanted to say I have that song also but I don't know anybody except some girls sitting next to me and only one person asked me to copy the songs for her. It's a habit of mine for wanting to share some good music to others who have never heard them before. When I was younger, I even put the cassette tapes into the guest's hands even when they don't look interested. I just say try this one. this is really good...well. stuff like that. As I got older, whenever I tried to borrow some albums from my neighbors, they act like they don't want to lent them so I stopped asking around and tried to buy them on my own. I also stopped trying to share my albums with others unless they ask for them. But now I meet nice people who are willing to fulfill my request and I follow after them, fulfilling the requests and sharing my favorites. Like someone wrote in a forum before, sharing is caring.

MRTV-4 introduces free to air

Another Sunday weekend

Yesterday, I stayed at home as I had nothing else to do. I woke up and ate breakfast while listening to music but the electricity went out so I had to eat in silence Darn, I was hoping to see "Hmae Ta Pauk" movie on MRTV that afternon. There's gonna be a remake of that film with Nandar Hlaing as lead cast. If it's with Nandar Hlaing, I won't bother to watch it.
After I did the housework in the morning, I thought about reading Harry Potter book which I borrowed from someone but I was told by my father to translate an article to practice my translation skill. I only did half of the article and got bored so I ate lunch and left home to go to buy some blank discs at Yuaznaa Plaza. I bought the discs along with a CD-RW which only costed 500 kyats. I was surprised 'cuz I had to pay 800 kyats last time. I browse through the dvds but I didn't buy any as I already bought Hotelier dvd a few days ago. Since the electricity only comes at night, I don't have time to watch dramas. At that time, I can only watch 1 episode per day 'cuz my mother watches both 7pm & 9:15pm dramas on TV. There's no time left for me to watch after the drama.
After I left the plaza, I ate Rakhine moat tee at the famous Min Street Moat Tee shop. I like the taste which is similar to my fav Rakhine Moat tee shop but it's too noisy there and I had to wait a long time to order the food and for the food to arrive. Regular moat tee with soup costs 200 kyats while moat tee salad costs 250 kyats. I brought moat tee salad home for my mother and although it's expensive a bit, the taste is quite different from other shops. Next time I eat there, I'll eat upstairs where there'll be lesser noise but I might have to wait a long time for my food to arrive. That's why I prefer to eat at regular moat tee shop where I can get my food in just a few minutes.

Annoying Conversation Among People

I've been thinking lately that I don't match with most people. When we have conversation, I'm just talking to them due to obligations. Let's say I'm eating lunch alone after everybody had lunch. Someone will see and said "Are you eating lunch now?". I will reply yes. Then another person will ask the same thing. Then another and so on. I get tired of answering those questions. I always reply them politely but I want to shout are you blind? can't you see I'm eating here. That sort thing.

In Myanmar, people say how are you is translated in nay kaung lar which means how is your health. Lots of people use that phrase to greet each other but I never use that unless I meet with someone who looks sick. Why would I want to ask how is your health to someone who looks pretty healthy. Also people will ask what did you eat today? Have you eat today? Why? are you going to treat me something if I haven't eaten...no they aren't. They are just asking.

In here when girls hold hands with their girl friends (girls who are friends, not lesbians) when they walk together. Sometimes my friend will do the same to me, holding my hand while we walk, It makes me uncomfortable but I never said anything to them 'cuz I didn't want to hurt their feelings. I feel strange when I see people holding hands like that esp guys who aren't gay but walk while holding hands together.

I go to walk alone. I eat alone. I go to school / leave school alone. I'm now getting used to being alone all the time so I don't like being surrounded by people sometimes. I rather eat alone that be surrounded by people who are chit chatting beside me. That's the same reason why I leave alone. You can say I'm an attention seeker. If I'm walking with someone, I want that person's attention to be on me, not on some other people who are walking with us. I tried to understand but it started to annoy me after awhile. I started to avoid them next time 'cuz I rather be alone than be left out of conversation.

New Proxy but Still Lousy

Two months ago, I thought the internet connection at MICT is pretty bad. Now it get worse. Before we use the proxy server ygncache3.mpt.net.mm. Starting from last week, we were given a new proxy server, ygncache4.mpt.net.mm. At first I was happy to get a new proxy server 'cuz it's faster. Well, it's not really that bad. You get no dc (disconnection) when you connect to gtalk or when you are downloading files using download managers. It's just that web browsing get dc all the time. I have to be extremely patient when I browse something during office hours. The connection gets better after office hour so I'm always leaving late when I don't have to go to UFL.

Picnic at Kandawgyi Park

On Sunday we had a picnic at Kandawgyi Park with Native Myanmar forum members. We were supposed to meet at 11'o clock but only 4 of us (me, my sis, Ma Red Rose & Ko Kalvin) arrived at that time. At first we lost our way trying to find the island 'cuz I was told that it was near Fuji Restaurant so I was trying to find it. I met Ma Red Rose & Ko Kalvin in front of the restaurant. We went to the island and sat there on the grass while waiting for others. After Ma PP arrived, we started eating the food that we brought. I brought rice, fried russel, papaya and watermelon. Ma PP made sushi and Ko Kalvin & Ma Red Rose bought fried chicken, fried potato and brought la phet also. Later, other members came along. Ko White bought a potato soup but I didn't get the chance to taste it 'cuz there wasn't enough spoon and I only had a fork. It's really relaxing to meeting them and talk about tech issues, blogging, forum, etc. I feel much happier to go out with them 'cuz we all get the chance to talk and I get to learn about a lot things, something which I never happen when I go out with my friends.

We left the island around 3:30pm and went to drink coffee at Happy. By the time we left, it was near 5:30pm. There'll be another meeting in December and I will get to meet other members who couldn't make it to the picinic yesterday. I hope we get to go on the picnic also 'cuz we can speak freely without minding others (not that we ever minded others) and no more long tables where you have will to shout to talk to the person sitting on the far side of the table.

My Friend's Birthday Party

Yesterday was National Day and it's a holiday so I get a day off to rest at home. SD treated us dinner at SS Food Court in the evening for her birthday which was on the 7th. I didn't know what to buy her and my sister who had been rewatching My Girl has only that drama on her mind so she bought the dvd along with some hairclip. I didn't feel like going out on Sunday so I asked her to buy the present. I should have went along with her 'cuz the hairclip looks exactly like what we bought her last year. Anyway, after we ate dinner which was delicious btw, we went to Yankin Center to take some sticker photos. There's no sticker booth and we can only take the pics at Dora. We took some pics there last year and this time we took 4 pictures with 8 different frames. 2 pictures were taken along with her cousin and the rest are just us girls only. We had to wait 20 mins for the photos to get ready so we went window shopping upstairs. I saw 2 translation books of Harry Potter's The Half-Blooded Prince. Both books are thick and heavy and the one by Kyi Kyi Mar is around 5000 kyats and the second one by another author is around 3500kyats. My friend said her sisters had read the other book by renting from the book shop and the translation isn't that bad. It's not as good as Min Khite Soe San's translation but it's easy to understand. I might ask her to rent it for me someday so that I can take a look at the translation. 20 mins later, we came down to get our photos and the color setting is terrible. They look so faint. The quality is nothing like the sample picture from the sample album. As I was browsing the album, I saw a lot of pics of Korean celebs being used as sample sticker photos. Right now, the pictures are with SYM and she'll give them to me after she cut them up. They didn't even separate the pictures and we have to do it on our own. I want to take sticker photos at Dagon Center. I think the quality isn't that bad there and it has its own sticker booth but I always look awful whenever I take pics on my own.

On the way back from Mawlamyine during Thingyan 2002, we passed by Kayin State. We were all fascinated to see Mt. Zwel Kabin which is the landmark of Kayin State. As we went along the road, suddenly the mountain disappeared from sight and instead we see another mountain. My father kept saying he was sure we are still in the area around Mt. Zwel Kabin. He stopped the car on the road for something that I can't remember and we saw an old Kayin man passing by. He asked him what's the name of the mountain and the man replied "That's Mt. Zwel Kabin". My father said "No, I know what Mt. Zwel Kabin looks like. It isn't shape like that mountain. Can you pls tell me the name of the mountain?". The old man still replied "That's Mt. Zwel Kabin". On Tauzaungmone Full Moon Day, some streets have Nirvana Bazzar, giving away foods and drinks to your neighbors. I will try my best to explain how it goes. If your house no is 01 and you are going to make food for 20 people, 20 tickets will be made with the number 01 on them. Those who obtained the tickets will come to your house to collect the food. I have never experienced it before 'cuz my street doesn't celebrate those kind of activities. Only those streets with houses which are situated close to each other celebrate this event. (I'm not sure about downtown through.) I saw 2 street which celebrate Nirvana Bazzar near my neighborhood from the bus today.

When I was a kid, I used to spent my Tazaungmone holiday at my uncles' house 'cuz I get to eat a lot of food there :). Now as I've grown older, I hardly go there on Tazuangmone anymore. People are usually busy at this time, preparing for "Hna Kyeit Shit Su" and food preparations. My neighbors were excited to see "Hna Kyeit Shit Su" parade. I'm not into those parades anymore. I am sick of these people passing by playing many types of songs unrelated to Buddhism at loud volume, not caring about how the noise will effect other people. My brother always say I'm full of negative views but what's wrong with expressing my own opinion.
What I did on Tazaungmone Day....

I went to Yuzana Plaza with my mother in the afternoon. I bought a pair of earrings while she bought a hair clip. As usual, I checked out the list of Korean dramas available at the dvd shop after buying CD R-W from there. I might have bought one but since my mother was with me, she'll scold me if I buy it 'cuz I just bought one a few days ago. A woman was asking the sale girl to recommend some good kdramas to buy but that girl just stood and said nothing. So I tried to show some good dramas but she already watched them and she walked away to another shop asking for kdramas. Next time, I won't bother to explain to anymore. At night I light some candles in front of the house. I didn't get the chance to do that during Thadingyut.

"Maumy," set to open in theaters on October 26, is a movie about a deep friendship between a dog named Maumy and a brother (Yoo Seung-ho) and sister (Kim Hyang-ki). Not surprisingly, one of the main characters is a four-year-old female Labrador Retriever named "Dari," the first "acting dog" in Chungmuro. Labrador Retrievers are known for gentle and faithful natures and used as guide dogs for the blind or as drug sniffing dogs.

In the movie, Dari shows a variety of face expressions and excellent acting. The movie studio was enthusiastic about making Dari a star in the news conference.

Dari won several dog training contests and Dari's owner Kim Jong-gwon brought Dari to the audition when he happened to find the news about making a movie with a dog as a main character.

The secret to Dari's acting is its voracity. In the scene Maumy runs after a train on which Chani (the brother character) is, Kim was on the train with a fried chicken leg. Other scenes were also shot with the help of sausages and squid ice cream.

In the scene Dari covers with newspaper Chani who is sleeping on the streets as a homeless, Kim had to divide the move and train Dari for each part: bringing newspaper, crouching, and lowering its head.

The care for Dari, a "lead actress," was the top grade. On a break, Dari rested in a Starex van with a carpet and curtained windows. It cost 5 million won to remodel the van. After a day with lots of shootings, Dari was allowed to rest the next day. Dari's son Jjangi played the part of Dari in the scene of fighting with a Shepherd. An imitation was used for the scene Dari is bitten by the Shepherd.

Dari is a fine dog worth 100 million won. Kim received 50 million won for Dari's acting in the movie. It may seem too much. But a consideration was given to the fact that Kim had to give up on his job as a business manager and concentrate on the movie.

This movie sounds cute. I can't wait to check it out. I'm more of a cat person but I like watching dog movies. Not many people make films out of cats. I only know Garfield and the cat is an animation.

Tips for UFL Evening Classes

Wear only Myanmar traditional longyis and htamain (no skirts, jeans, pants, short sleeve blouses even if the style is from the colonial time and not even htamin skirt which cuts up from near the tights or pat htamin which you put around your waist...it's okay to wear htamin skirt which looks exactly like a real htamin). Guys can't wear t-shirts with stickers also.
Guys can not wear earrings. Leave your Sai Sai Kham Hlaing diamond earrings at home.
Always wear your name tag around your neck or pin it to your shirt. Don't take it off till you are out of the university.
If your class is a crowded class, get to class early to save your seat.
Get some friends to attend with you so that you'll have some company in the class and they will save your seat for you when you arrive late.
If you are taking English classes and your teacher's pronunciation is terrible, just bear with it.
Expect different teachers though teaching the same subject to have different pronunciations and different handwriting style. (which is usually very different from your text books). If you want correct pronunciations for whatever subjects you are taking, buy some learning CDs (from National CD) or search in the internet.
Get your butt off the canteen by the time you hear the bell ring. Don't try to hide. They will still catch you and expect to see an angry old teacher fussing over the issue.
If you are taking 107 buses, get to the gate as fast as you can after the bell rings. A minute or two late and you'll have to walk all the way to Hledan.
Don't think about taking the bus from Hledan to Kyaung Lan bus stop to get to the class. It's faster to walk.
"Walking is a good exercise for your health." Keep repeating this sentence in your head as you are on the way for your 10~15 mins walk to school from Hledan Junction.
Always have some extra money with you for you will have to pay for the textbooks and handouts. Don't expect those to include in the class fees.

I don't mean to hurt anyone here. I just wrote this for fun after hearing about the clothing restrictions at school. I don't mean to criticize the teachers. I have respects for my teachers and I like both teachers. I still haven't meet the teacher who is supposed to teach on Fridays. TVSQ Member Got Poisoned

Yuno-yunho, a member of the boy-band TVXQ who drank a beverage containing a harmful substance on October 14 that he received from an unidentified woman, received medical attention and is currently recovering.

The group’s agency, SM Entertainment, said that Yuno-yunho received emergency treatment at St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul and underwent a health checkup at another hospital later. The diagnosis is yet to be released but the singer is apparently doing fine. His manager, who was with him when the incident occurred, helped him vomit the drink immediately.

Yuno-yunho rested until October 15 and in the afternoon of that day cooperated with police in identifying the suspect.

Aside from the poisoned beverage, the singer also received a letter from the suspect warning him to "watch his mouth" and that "many people switch channels when TVXQ appears on TV." The letter also called the band “arrogant” and sounded threatening. All members of the group were shocked by the incident because it apparently targeted the entire group.

TVXQ will appear on TV shows without Yuno-yunho for the time being, as it is unable to cancel its scheduled activities at this point. The group will sing its song “I’ll Be There” instead of the title song of its just-released album, because it is easier to replace Yuno-yunho in that song.

Oct 11's Korean Class

I thought 140 words was a lot for me but I learned about 5 new words today and I'm still confused with the pronunciation. There's a new teacher in the class so we now have 3 teachers for class. This teacher taught us the words and told us to write 5 lines each while she goes over everybody's desk to look whether we are writing properly or not. Later she ask some students to read aloud the words she wrote on the board and I was glad that my name wasn't called out. I got a short term memory and I can't remember them in time as I'm still confused with the pronunciations and I didn't study Monday's lessons.

I'm a bit bored at the class 'cuz I don't have any friends in the class. I don't know anybody so I find myself an empty seat and study while others are chatting with their friends. It's pretty usual that I won't make friends in just a few days but it'll be nice to have a friend who can help me out in the class.

My favorite teacher is the teacher from Monday classes. She's the only one who taught us a few words in Korean. They haven't teach us Korean dialogues yet 'cuz we are still on alphabets. I have to buy some books at the class. The class fee didn't include the book fees :(. Whenever the teacher wants us to repeat, she said Dashi and the song by G.O.D. Whenever she said it, it makes me want to listen to the song so badly. Korean songs do help with learning new words. I have been able to learn some words just by listening to their songs and reading the translations later. I wonder whether we'll be taught some songs also in the class. In the Japanese class, our teacher taught us some songs and I still remember some of the lyrics. As for Korean lyrics, I only know Gomsemari, the 3 bear songs from Full House. Maybe I can memorize the carrot song from My Girl. I have the lyric somewhere in my pc and got 2 different version of the songs, one by Lee Da Hae and another by some kid. I prefer Lee Da Hae version.

The dramas I've been watching lately are

Sweet Spy

I started watching this drama when I learned that it was gonna air on MRTV. Luckily I was able to download most of the episodes from kpopper at pretty fast speed. I was quite attracted by both Lee Joo Hyun and Dennis O' Neil. Dennis is a bit hit in Myanmar. I even got annoyed of hearing about him all the time. I'm still on episode 17. I am having troubles with downloading so I have to download from another site or ask some friends to help me out. I won't write the story as I've already done that here.

Vineyard Man

I'm still haven't even finished with episode 4. I wonder whether episode 5 subtitles have come out yet. The series have already finished airing in Korea now. I saw the screen captures from the last episode and Eun Hye looks really pretty in the wedding dress. This is her second time to get married in a drama. I already posted about the drama here.

Invisible Parachute Agent

This drama is like the sequel to Super Rookie drama. The plot line is different from the previous drama but it's still about an employee who got employed unexpected into some big company (or) secret agency here now. I was looking forward to this 'cuz of Eric and Han Ji Min. I'm on episode 3. I'm still trying to download the drama. I just wish I get faster connection at work. The connection get dc whenever I download or upload a file over 3mb. Since I'm still watching, I don't know much about the story plot 'cuz I dont' read ahead of the story. Eric got rejected by LK during the interview. On the way back, he saved a granny from being runned over by the president's car. He didn't actually save her on her own as he was pushed out to the street by another woman. When the president thanked him, he couldn't accept the commendation from the president. The president thought of him as a unique man and he recommend him to the secret agency to recruit him. Meanwhile Eric met his high school friend Han Ji Min and found out that she was working as a bar host. He went over there and left after being slapped by her to getting her in trouble. Actually Han Ji Min isn't really a bar host and she's from the secret agency which Eric will be working for later. At the start of the show, the director of the agency went to see a guy to come back to the agency and lead the team. Eric will be in the team that he recruited, I think.

Resurrection
I'm still watching this drama on MRTV. I don't know what episode we are on 'cuz MRTV edit the episodes to air them longer on TV.

Over the Rainbow

I'm on episode 2, only finished half of it. I heard that you can get the dvd in Ygn so I might just find it watch it later since the downloading speed is quite slow. The subtitles aren't perfect but at least I can understand.

Goong

I bought the dvd a few days ago. I've been watching it back again and reached to some episodes now. My mother got addicted to Goong and she had been watching it ahead of me so when I think about watching it, she's already watching it. So I have to wait for her to finish watching as I want to watch in order. Ever since I've been watching back Goong, I've been listening back to Goong ost, reading the Goong thread at soompi and surfing websites for Goong related articles and fan arts. It feels just like when I started watching it. Once I start to watch it, I can't stop thinking about Goong and whenever I write in blog or forum, the word Goong will popup in my writings. I think I've been Goong-nifed again :D. When I bought the dvd, the guy at the shop told me that Sweet Spy & Goong are the most sold out dvds and they only have a few copied of Goong at their shop. That's why they are more expensive than other dramas.

My Fair Lady

This drama is aired on MRTV at 7pm on Thursdays and Fridays. I ended up watching this drama although I don't like Kim Hee Sun 'cuz it's a bit funny. Kim Hee Sun is an airline hostess who targets rich men who she met on the plane. She and her colleagues will meet with them and go out with them if she's interested. Go Suu used to work in Sydney but he came back to Korea after his girlfriend. During a matchmaking meeting, he met Kim Hee Sun who looks exactly like her so he was interested in her. Kim Hee Sun thought he was a rich doctor so she went out with him. She rejected a guy who proposed to her and said she's going out with Go Suu. That guy, the manager found about Go Suu and told her so that he can get her back to his side. Kim Hee Sun got angry with Go Suu for lying to her and Goo Su got angry that she was only interested in money. But both of them are still interested in each other. In the episode I watched, Go Suu went back to Sydney and Kim Hee Sun went after to find out her twin sister, Go Suu ex-girlfriend. She was supposed to be on duty so she's gonna be punished by her company for sleeping outside without permission. Go Suu will go back to Korea and an old man will ask him to help him out at his company, I think. I only saw the preview for that.

Sad Sonata

I only watched the first episodes but haven't continue watching 'cuz it airs at the same time with My Fair Lady. This drama also stars Kim Hee Sun and I had to watch again although I don't like her. At least Kwon Sangwoo stars in the drama. I won't be writing the storyline as I haven't watched it entirely.

100% Senorita

I'm getting a bit tired of watching this but I'm only watching 'cuz of Penny Lin and Wallace Huo (I think that's his name). I like the ost and my favorites song is track 2 disguise. It's an English which comes at the ending of the drama.

First Week at Basic Korean Class

It's been a while since the last time I post here. I've quite busy lately and I didn't have much time to use the internet for personal purposes. I always use my free time to check email, read Native Myanmar and to surf for icon tutorials. I have been interested in learning how to make them and I found a nice place where I can get the textures and tutorials. I'm still learning how to make them bits by bits. I want to learn how to make a graphic header for a fan website but I still haven't found any tutorial to do that. I asked for help but no one had replied to me so far. I'll just have to depend on my own for it, I guess.

Last week, I started attending Korean Basic class at UFL. The class starts from 5:20 pm to 7:00pm and I have to attend it on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Last Friday was closed 'cuz it's a Thadingyut holiday. I've learned the basic alphabets and I have to write them in a practice book and show them to the teachers. There are two teachers and I think the first teacher will teach on Mondays and Wednesdays. It was like that when I took Japanese classes at UFL. At that time, I only learned Japanese 'cuz Japanese dramas were aired on TV and I wanted to speak like them. Also since I was young, I didn't want to work all the time so I enjoy the times at UFL 'cuz I get to leave work early. I am a lazybone and I didn't practice all the kanjis so when we continued on the next level, I couldn't keep up with the students. Also one of my teacher changed and I didn't like the new one. I couldn't even read his handwritings and what make it worse is that the new class included students from other Japanese classes and they can converse in Japanese so the teachers assumed that we can all talk in Japanese by now so they continued teaching in Japanese with little hints in Myanmar. Luckily I haven't paid for the class yet so after a few weeks, I stopped going there. I also was an internet addict at that time (I'm still an addict) and I didn't want to leave early and miss chatting with my friends. Lousy excuse but I was only 18.

Now I'm really interested in learning Korean. My mother said I'll only last for 6 months but I hope I can continue till I finish all the classes at UFL which might not be possible. When you advance to another level, the number of students decreases. You'll need at least 25 students to start a class. That's why one of my friends couldn't continue with her Japanese class 'cuz there wasn't enought students for the next level.

I haven't learn any phrases yet. I only was taught the usual....annyoung se' yo...annega se' yo...gomawaryo which I already have learned by watching dramas and movies. I think after we are finished with the basic alphabets, vowels and syllables, we will be given the text books. On Wednesday, I was taught 8 new words. As I was writing them down in the practice book, the teacher asked all students to come out front and write the alphabet read by another student. I was lucky to be seated at the back so I had the time to memorise the words. I was a bit scared that I'll make a mistake and the guys at the back will laugh at me (not that I care about them..just that they are the loudest in the class...I even moved my seat away from them 'cuz they were too noisy for me). Luckily the girl up front told me to write the 3rd alphabet "Ga" so I was able to write in easily on the blackboard. The girl seated next to me was more nervous than me. I told her not to worry and just ask the front row to read out the alphabet.

This Monday, the teacher told us to write 140 pages of for the new words learned that day :(. I need a new book to continue writing. At least now I know how to spell Bi :).

Feeling Depressed

I know I haven't been updating my blog lately. Since I have started writing in Myanmar, I haven't been posting much in English. I don't have much time to blog at work and I was busy watching dramas and practicing tutorials at home. I'll be more busier next month 'cuz I'm going to attend Korean classes at UFL (University of Foreign Language) from 5:20 pm to 7:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The class fee is 14000 kyats for the 6 month course. It's a lot cheaper than the other Korean language class I wanted to attend.

A friend of mine asked me to help her with a website design. I told her I'll help her but it's been over a week and I still don't have any idea on how to design it. I want to make the design with graphic like the Korean celebrities fan websites and blog but I don't know how to design like them. I'm still learning by reading online tutorials but I'm still learning from the basic. I wish there's somebody to teach me but I have to depend on myself to learn from online and I'm pretty lazy sometimes. That's probably why I'm not learning anything.

I'm depressed about my lack of skill in design. I've been working for a pretty long time but I had never bother to learn about Photoshop and other web related things till last year. I'm not interested in programming and I only learn a bit about css 'cuz I have to edit my blog template which was written in css. When other can do a design in half an hour, it takes me 2 hours to design one and I get rejected most of the time. Maybe it's because I don't have an artistic view. That's why my desigs are crazppy. I'm a lazybone so I only surf websites for tuorials once a month and I get distracted while surfing the sites when my friends come online or I found an interesting topic to read at forum.

I don't know what else to do beside this job. I want to find a suitable job where I'm good at but I don't know what I'm good at anything. I'm only learning Korean 'cuz I'm interested in it. I don't have any plan to use it like others who learn foreign languages to benefit from it. My sister's taking Thai classes 'cuz she said she might work there someday and it might be useful. I learned a bit of Thai before and I'm not interested in learning it at all. It bored me when I have to go to Thai class and it costed me 50 dollars for a 3 month course. It was't that useful 'cuz I had to come back to Ygn afterward.

Ya Tha - Made in Myanmar album and Other Entertainment News

Lately I have been listening to the new album "Made in Myanmar" by Ya Tha. At first I didn't like the album 'cuz I didn't like Ya Tha's voice after a couple of times listening to the album, I really have started to like it. J-Me, Ye' Lay, Bo Lay and G-Tone featured in the album along with Ya Tha. My favorite songs are "Hip-hop Shae Toe", "Ta Kaung Kywat" and "Sin Aut Ka Nay Swal Myar". I think this albums has the most censoring in Myanmar hip-hop albums. I can hear a lot of beeps in almost every songs. In "Nay Ma Eait Nya Ma Eait", I got annoyed the woman's voice talking on the phone which was repeated about 3 times in the song. Sheesh, I would never talk her like at all. Those kinds of talks just gets on my nerves. "Byauk Oo Yae Stage Show" is a skit which tells the story about them meeting a stage show organizer. I can't believe the hard times that they have to go through just to perform on the show. The most absurd thing is the price fee for putting their name on the sign board. I used to thought that it was just advertisement done by the organizer.

Today a new hip-hop is being released. There's gonna be a signing ceremony at Yankin Center and Sky Walk Shopping Mall (Mandalay) tomorrow. I think this album might be a good one 'cuz J-Me, Ye' Lay, Ya Tha, Yan Yan Chan and other hip-hop singers feature in the album. I am looking forward to this album. I will try to listen to the songs first and if I like them, I will buy the album. I'm gonna buy Ya Tha album also. I believe that if you really like hiphop and you want to support them, you should support them by buying their albums. It's funny that they are people who claim to love hiphop music but they never buy the actual albums and they only buy or copy from pirate albums. I have to keep my mouth shut when I hear them talking about buying the pirated cds. I want to say why don't you just buy the album for once instead of wasting your money away. It is true that I spend most of my money on cds and I don't regret buying them 'cuz I only buy what I need. But what really annoys me is when other people want to borrow from me or copy them from me and asking me to copy for them. They take away my favorite and later I hear them dissing the singers. That really makes me piss off.

Sai Sai's first novel, "Paper Crane" is being made into a movie or video. This movie is directed by Director Mee Pwar and it stars Sai Sai (of course), Thazin and Wine Su Khine Thein. I haven't read his novel so I'm looking forward to this movie. Since Sai Sai himself is in the movie, at least they won't be talks like this movie runis the book, etc. :D

Some Changes

I've been thinking of involving myself in learning from online for the next week. I won't be going to any discussion forums at all. I always have been spending most of my free times surfing forums and searching for downloads. I'll only be surfing websites for photshop tutorials and practice at work and home. I will be able to use the computer at night next week and I won't be spending my times watching dramas anymore, at least for 1 week.

A few days ago I read the latest book by Jule and after reading it, I finally could make that decision to stop spending my entire times in entertainment and it's time for self improvement. What I will learn for the next week might help with work or maybe not but at least I will learn something anyway.

Kim Jae Won Visit to Myanmar

Last year Korean celebrities visited Myanmar for 3 days and held a concert at National Opera House. Myanmar people were pretty excited about it 'cuz Kim Jae Won came to Yangon. He came along with Babyvox (only 3 members), Wa Wa and the Cross. I didn't get to see the concert and there wasn't much to read about them in the news journals. I was disappointed 'cuz I didn't get to see him. MRTV 4 did an interview with them but I didn't get to see it 'cuz I don't have satellite. Later a video magazine called Viva made a documentary video about their visit and released it with other videos as a vcd. I didn't feel like buying it 'cuz I didn't want to see the other video but now I finally got my hands on it. I enjoy watching the video which is 20 minutes long. At first I thought about sharing the whole video on youtube but I don't get to get in trouble for uploading the files illegally so I made 2 videos with cuts of Kim Jae Won.

The first one is on the day he arrived to Yangon. He went to a university in South Dagon and there was a traditional performance in which he also participated. It's really funny to see him trying to dance along with the girls. When the dance steps got faster, he couldn't catch up so he went back to his seat.

The second video is from the concert held at the National Opera House. He amazed the audience by speaking in Myanmar and his Myanmar speaking is the best among the other Korean celebrities who also tried to talk a bit in Myanmar. He said Mingalar Par, which is a greeting in Myanmar. The exact meaning is auspicious day to you but it's awkward to say that in English. It's like saying Hello.

I bought the drama but I have to return it 'cuz it was with Chinese audio and no English subs. I might watch it on TV but I might also just download the drama 'cuz I prefer English subs over Myanmar subs.

My View about Myanmar Music

Some people from online tell me that they like the way I express myself truthfully. Well, that's me. When I write, I always write whatever that's on mind. Since I'm into entertainment, I always write about them. I used to write about Korean entertainment a lot but I decided to write about Myanmar entertainment also 'cuz of the Myanmar people who surf my blog hoping to read some Myanmar news. So whenever I watch a movie, listen to a new album or watch a vcd. I write a short review, saying what I like and what I don't like. I never meant to offend anyone with my posts.

My blog is not a place for gossips so I never write gossips at my blog. I judge a singer by his/her singing ability and music style and an actor/actress by her acting, character role, etc. I don't know any of them personally nor intend to know them at all. I'm just stating my view. Mostly I try to refrain myself from bad mouthing people. Just because I don't like someone, I don't want to write bad things about him/her 'cuz the person who might be reading could be his/her fan. I only write good things about people 'cuz I don't have time to write about who I dislike and stuff.

Now someone commented on one of my post and I got angry about it. I keep saying to myself, What did I do so wrong to offend anyone? I wrote about copy songs and who doesn't sing them but I wasn't offending the singer. I wouldn't have write about him if I didn't like him in the fist place. Own tune singer? pls give me a break...you can count how many own tune singers are in Myanmar but how can you be sure that they didn't copy of anybody's music or idea? I don't want to write about Myanmar music world in English but I'm ashamed to admit about it in front of non-Myanmar people.

I used to listen to most of the albums that were released in Myanmar. I don't buy all of them but I rent them from a store and borrow from friends to sample the music. When hip-hop became famous in Myanmar, my sister and I bought almost all the hip-hop albums that came out. At that time, we were ready to give support for any singer who sings hip-hop. Most of the albums we bought were good and there were only a few albums that we didn't like. But now when a new hip-hop album comes out, I'm pretty skeptical about buying it. I will only think about buying it if that album features famous or known singers. I couldn't give my support to newcomers anymore. When I hear people singing those songs by newcomers, I felt quite funny but I couldn't stand a minute listening to those kind of songs. You can't just take a pop songs that you used to hear people singing with a guitar, add some chessy raps and call it hip-hop.

The kind of music I like is hard to find among Myanmar singers. I like eastern hip-hop style, r&b and pop songs like ballad songs. When I want to listen to hip-hop, I listen to Sai Sai, Ye Lay, Theory and J-Me. Although some singers do sing r&b, they don't sing them all the time. I listen to Rebecca Win, Ye Lay and Zam Nu for r&b. I think it' hard to find own tune ballad songs in Myanmar. I still haven't hear anyone singing own tune ballad songs in the style of Korean ballad. I think you call call "A Hnie Mae" and "Min A Twat" songs ballad.

I have been posting some news articles in my blog (mostly in Myanmar). If anyone from the journal want me to remove the article, you can mail me directly and tell me to do so. If I find some nice articles and I have time, I will try to translate them but I know there are Myanmar people who live aboard since childhood and they couldn't read in Myanmar although they can understand the language.

This is the first time I post news articles translation on my blog. I tried my best to be exact in my translation. I know there are unnecessary repeated sentences in the article but since they were included in the original article, I wanted to do an exact translation. It's funny that I finish writing this in just 10 minutes while it takes me an hour to translate a small paragraph summaries for my work. Writing this is much easier probably due to my interest in the entertainment world. I wonder how the stage show was and how many cds were brought to be destroyed. Last night was the day when Earth can see Mars up close. According to a journal, Mars can be seen brightest at 12:30pm. I missed that chance 'cuz it was drizzling and the sky's cloudy. Darn....I really wanted to see Mars. I won't be alive to see it the next time it passes close to Earth.

Thinking of Updating Blog

I have been thinking lately that my blog sounds pretty boring to me 'cuz I always write about Korean drama, Korean music and complaining about my life, etc. I want to change my blog a little by writing more about my country so that others can learn from my blog rather than just reading about my boring life. I will first start with changing the template again so that there won't be stack overflow errors in IE. I'll also try to find some times and surf Myanmar sites and buy journals to post interesting news and entertainment news. Well, it depends on whether I have the time to use the computer at night but I'll try my best. There are so many things that I want to do for my blog but I never have enough time to do them. For my other Myanmar blog, I'll be posting news from the journals and translate some Korean entertainment news. It's a way of practice for me 'cuz I'm thinking of writing them for journals. I'm still just thinking about so. I don't know if my articles will get chosen or not. I always read Korean entertainments news whenever I see them in Myanmar journals and magazines but I'm quite disappointed that most of the articles don't really focus on giving the information and they are just wasting the spaces writing about how that person's acting is the drama. Why would anybody been interested in reading about someone writing about the storyline of a drama when they have already watched them. They only pay attention in hoping to read some news about their favorite celebrities. I have a bad habit of not completing something that I'm doing or thought of doing so I might not be translating. You are confused huh? Yeah...I'm like that most of the time.

My Favorite Myanmar Foods

If you ask me what's my favorite food, I will answer immediately, "Of course it's Rakhine moat tee (Rakhine noodle)". If you aren't Myanmar, you might be wondering what Rakhine noodle is. Rakhine noodle is thin rice noodle eaten together with fish soup. You have to eat it together with tamarid paste, grind chilies and fish sauce if you want to add some. That'll make the soup spicy and tasty and prepare some tissues and some waters for yourself before you start eating. It is the kind of food which is best suited in rainy days and cold weather but I like to eat it even when the weather is hot. The food originated from Rakhine State and that's why it got the name Rakhine noodle. Another name for Rakhine noodle is 'ar pu shar pu' 'cuz it can be pretty spicy and makes your tongue go red. I prefer to eat at the shops or stalls than home cooking. It doesn't taste the same at home. You can find many Rakhine noodle shops or stalls all over Yangon. My favorite shop is the one located near the market near my house. It's a long way to walk there so I only can eat when my cousin goes to the market in the evening and when I'm home at that time. My second favorite is at 12 lone tan bus stop. I prefer Rakhine noodle which taste isn't too spicy or too much ngapi (fish paste). I absolutely hate eating fake Rakhine noodle. Fake Rakhine noodle is a fish soup trying to pretend like Rakine noodle. Whenever I went out and I feel like having a snack, I always look for Rakhine noodle shops and end up eating fake Rakhine noodle or spicy Rakhine noodle with a lots of pepper and padegaw. Lately, I haven't been able to enjoy my favorite food 'cuz I always come home late and the Rakhine noodle from the canteen is terrible. On Sunday, I stayed home most of the times and I got lazy to go out.

So instead of eating Rakhine noodle, I've been eating kyar san chet which is tranlsated Bean Vermicelli Soup in English. I like to recommend my favorite kyar san chet shop located at U Tun Lin Chan Road at Hledan. I always eat there on Saturdays when I leave work early. I have to get there by 5pm 'cuz there won't be any more kyar san chet if I came late. Kyar san chet is best eaten together with shaut thee toat (lemon salad). Just thinking about a spicy lemon salad with kyar san chet is making my mouth water. I am always alone whenever I go to eat there. I feel so loney while other people came to eat with friends, families and couples. When I couldn't get a seat, I had to sit together with other people and it makes me uncomfortable just sitting there and eating while others are having conversations among each other, eating their kyar san chet and sharing lemon salad with each other. I don't eat lemon salad there anymore 'cuz I can never finish eating it. I wish I have somebody to go with the next time I went there. Anyway, back to food...

Another food I like to recommend is Shan noodle. I rarely eat Shan noodle but after eating twice at a stall near Hledan bus stop, I have began to really like the food from there. Before I never like Shan noodle but I started to like it after eating it for breakfast at Pyin Oo Lwin 3 years go. At that time, the weather outside was really cold and our family was inside a small restaurant. My parents ordered Shan noodle with soup and I sampled the food from my mother. Ever since then, whenever I have Shan noodle, I always eat together with soup. Maybe it's just a habit I got from eating Rakhine noodle all the time. Most people prefer to eat it as a salad with the soup in another bowl. When you eat Shan noodle, you have to eat it together with Shan chin which is like kimichi. I used to hate it but now I luv eating Shan chin.

There are just so many foods to write about. I will write about them next time.

Old Myanmar Movies are showing back on MRTV

It has been awhile since MRTV stopped airing old Myanmar movies on Sunday afternoon but starting from last week, they started showing them back. A week before, "Ta Kyawt Hna Kyawt Tae Ko Thi" starring Win Oo, Tin Tin Mya and Cho Pyone was aired on TV. I already have watched that movie several times 'cuz I like Win Oo but I learned about it too late so I didn't get a chance to do that. Last Sunday I watched "Aw Main Ma Main Ma" starring Nyunt Win and Cho Pyone. I was planning to watch it at first. I was watching a Viva video magazine vcd about the Korean celebs visiting Myanmar and the first anniversary of Htoo Eain Thin's death. I switched back to TV afterward and "My Girl and I" was on air on MWD. I haven't watch that movie but I plan to watch it with subtitles so I went to downstairs and ate lunch while watching the Myanmar movie. When I was younger, I used to hate it when old Myanmar movies always aired on Sunday afternoons. I used to wish that newer movies would be aired instead but when they stopped airing old movies and started airing Myanmar videos, I hated watching them and wished that they would air old movies again. I remember reading in the newspaper about someone requesting MRTV to air old movies again. I got a bit bored while watching the movie but I managed to finish till the end. I wonder what movie will be aired next week. I want to watch Win Oo movies. I don't like musical movies where the actors and actresses kept singing songs in the whole movie but I like hearing Win Oo's songs. I want to watch "Mone Shwe Yi" and "Maung Doe Cherry Myay".

Just Thinking...

I know I haven't been updating my blog lately. It's not that I don't have anything to write but I am always busy to post even through I write them at home, like I'm doing now. Lately I have been going home at 7 pm 'cuz I was posting in forum. I never have enough time for web surfing. I'm always spending my times writing on forum or reading them, mostly in Movies, Music and Celebs section. I don't contribute much to the forum. I don't even have time to read other topics so if something big was going on, I only know about it a few days later. I'm always spending my times in my kdrama topic writing about drama reviews and stuff. I surf other websites as well and chat sometimes but my main reason for being late is the forum. Maybe I should stop going there after 5pm 'cuz once I started going there, I can't get up till I look at the clock and it's 7pm. I know it's late and it's dark outside to walk alone. I have other companions who leave early around 6pm but I wasn't in the mood to join them 'cuz I still have stuffs to do.

My everyday is so simple. Wakes up, get ready for work, eat breakfast and leave for bus stop, race myself to get to work on time, drink coffee, do work , started surfing the net at lunchtime and barely have enough time to eat lunch before the time's up, go back to work , web surfing and chatting at 5pm and leave around 6:45pm to 7pm, get home, watch TV if interested, get on the pc and eat dinner while watching drama, go to sleep. Boring huh? I think I've been wasting my times a lot. I told myself every month that I'll improve myself in Photoshop but instead I ended up watching dramas after dramas. How can I get myself to concentrate on it? I always remember to check out those tutorials during work time but I always forget when I'm web surfing. My mind is only on kdrama when I'm home.

I've been thinking about what Lee Ji Hyun (YEH's character in The Vineyard Man) have said in the beginning of the drama. She was comparing herself with other girls out on the street who have fantastic careers, money, awesome looks and guys to fall for them while she was just an ordinary girl with standard schooling and average looks and nobody likes her. I also think like that sometimes. I know I'm just an average girl with dull looking clothing and quite lonely sometimes. I used to have a friend at work who used to chat with me during break times and give me fashion tips like to try to match your Myanmar longyis with modern clothings 'cuz wearing them with the matching blouse is quite dull sometimes. She quit her job last month and I've been quite bored. I have nobody to talk to so I spend more time on the internet, trying to start conversations about my fav interests with ppl who might not even be interested. On Saturdays, I only have to work half day so I can leave at 2pm but I never left work earlier than 6pm 'cuz I have no place to go to and I didn't feel like going home early. I wish I can hang out with some friends on those days, eat Kyarzat chet together at Hledan, etc but I always end up going there alone.

Shinhwa is gonna held a concert in Bangkok on the 19th. Just 4 more days left. I wish I can go. At least Ma Yee Mon might be going there. I've been telling her to go 'cuz this is a once in a lifetime chance. I wish I was still in Bkk but even if I'm in Bkk, I'll have a hard time to convince my parents to let me go and pay for me as well. Well, at least I have their concert from Busan to watch. At least I can get an idea of what the performances will be at the concert.

Last night I watched the first episode of the Vineyard Man starring Yoon Eun Hye. I can't say I luv it but I never like the dramas which are my fav now at first. The story is a bit strange to me or rather the guy is strange to me. I've never seen his acting before. As for Eun Hye, I still think her acting isnt' that much different from Goong. It's not bad but she still sounded the same to me. Her character is just a bit different. In Goong, she wanted to become a fashion designer. It's the same in this drama. She dreams of becoming a famous designer. Her age is supposed to be around 26 or 27 but she doesn't look that mature she's only 22, same age as me. Her only job is a temporary job at a design company. She wanted to become a permanent worker by submitting a design which was shown to the manager before she got the chance to show to everyone. The manager paid some guys to take them off her which she was wearing on that day. She called the police and asked them to come while waiting in the men's restroom. A guy came into pee and she thought he was the police so she tried to take his clothes and that's when the police came. The police thought the guy was a rapist so they arrested him. Later they found out that she was in fact the person who tried to take the clothes and they are charging her for sexual assault. That's when episode one ended. I almost forgot. While she was at the police station, her grand-father (not her grandfather but still a relative) came and told her parents that he wanted her to come to work at the vineyard for a year. After that, he will give her some acres. The guy that she got in trouble with (I still don't know remember his name) also works for the vineyard. I guess when she gets there, that's when romance will spark. As far as I've seen, the person that really got on my nerves is Ji Hyun's (YEH) best friend. She's so annoying. It was because of her that Ji Hyun couldn't return the dress back and got beat up by her mother. Ji Hyun's mother is a bit harsh on her daughter. Even if she spent $100 on a dress, she shouldn't have been so harsh on her. Even thought I don't like it that much, I still want to continue watching. I just have to wait for the subs to out. Meanwhile I can watch other dramas. I just have to decide between Green Rose, Delightful Choon Hyang, Snow White or Oh Pil-Seung. I missed some episodes of Oh Pil-Seung so I'm continue to watch it with English subs. I prefer to watch with English subs 'cuz the dramas was cut short while it's aired on TV. I only missed episode 5 so I downloaded it but when I watched it, I still need to watch half of episode 4 to know the whole story. I might as well just watch the whole drama on pc, rather than wait for it on TV.

Hot Weather in Yangon

The weather has been hot for a couple of days. You might think it's summer although it's suppose to be the rainy season. It rained a bit in the morning on the way to work but now it's just cloudy. Not only the weather is hot but the aircons in our office are broke so we have to open the doors. It is even hotter in the room than outside. My body feels itchy although I already took a bath in the morning. Maybe I should take it again when I get home but I don't think I'll get home early. I'm still browsing websites.

I haven't been writing much in my blog 'cuz the electricity was out when I came home and my brother won't let me use the pc after the electricity came back. I even have a fight with him last night 'cuz he blamed us for using the pc for entertainment. There was something wrong with our ups and he blamed us. I told him that we still have a warranty to replace it but that still won't shut him till a phone call came for me. At that time, I was watching After the Sunset movie with my mother and I was getting bored with the movie but I couldn't stop it 'cuz my mother was watching it. After the movie, I watched Kim Sam Soon drama to ep 2 and went to bed. I bought that drama from Hledan a week ago. I also bought the first book of Lord of the Ring for 1000kyats only but the trouble is that the book looks like it fell in the mud and the outside is dirty but the inside is clean. I always put it down after picking it up to read 'cuz it's too dirty. I feel like boiling that book with hot water but that will make the book wet. I wish I can make the dirt disappear.
