May 31

Today is May 31th and the Myo Kyawt Myaing song is stuck in my head.
"May tway..ywar thon nay lae"

"Koe seit twae lay nay tae May 31...."

Aung Kaung Htet sang it back in 12 Yar Thi A Chit album. His version isn't that bad but I felt like crying the first time I heard it. I still prefer MKM version. I would have uploaded the song and probably typed the lyric if the connection was better and my computer hadn't broke down. I checked back on my sister's lyric blog and she didn't post it there. Humm...she hasn't update it for a pretty long time now.

I'm still working on my Myanmar blog template. At first I was going to make a Spring Waltz theme but I couldn't find the exact pic I wanted. I wanted a pic of young Su-ho and Eun Young playing in the yellow field. I could only find a pic of Su-ho standing in the field. Also I got lazy and decided to just use my Goong banner as the template 'cuz I already edited it. Even through the connection was quite slow, I've been browsing Photoshop sites looking for tutorials in using brushes. I want to create more artistic designs but I don't know where to start. I'm still looking for the right tutorial.

Today's pay day and I hope my salary increases :). I need to fix my computer, save money to buy DVD writer, do some shopping for new clothings and plus my birthday's next month so I have to treat my colleagues from work. I'll worry about treating my friends later. (I'm scared of them actually. I'm still thinking of treating them at home....ha ha...I'm trying to be cheap)

Myanmar's internet link with outside world fails for fourth day

Myanmar's internet link with the outside world continued to fail for the fourth day after Tuesday afternoon without web access internationally but locally.

The sole state-run service provider, the Myanmar Teleport ( previously known an Bagan Cybertech), attributed the result to failure of internet backbone link.

Companies relying on internet to run their businesses are being affected, business circle said, blaming the poor international communication links.

However, such phenomenon is understandable, it noted.

The service provider is carrying out urgent repair, saying that normal service will resume as soon as the link is repaired.

According to official statistics, the number of internet users in Myanmar reached 63,700 as of the end of 2005, up from merely a few thousands in 2000, registering the highest rate of increase in five years in Southeast Asia region.

Despite the sharp increase, the number of internet users in the country still stands the least compared with other SEA countries with one internet user per 1,000 population.

Meanwhile, Myanmar has projected to add internet service centers to over 100 townships in the country during this year to facilitate communications especially in the sectors of business and education.

connection's better

The connection at MICT is better now. The other Bagan Net users still can't login but we can access internet now. Members from abroad at NVM are saying they are bored right now 'cuz there are hardly any active posts but I'm still trying to catch up. I got so much things to do. First of all, I have to mail to my sister's friend. Our computer is having a problem (and prayer didn't work). Since she can't use the pc, she said she's gonna go to cybercafe but I told her not to bother. Then I will have to find solutions to fix my computer on the web. I am not going to send it to another shop. I can ask my brother to bring the hard disk to his work and copy the files he need before I bring it to work to copy my files. I'm thinking of formatting c drive and installing Windows after that at work. Since the internet is connected at work, I can download the latest softwares needed for the pc.

I still working on my blog template. I haven't even started actually. I'm still searching for the header pic. Why does Spring Waltz website has to be in flash? It's so slow to browse flash websites.

I was feeling well on Wednesday so I stayed home yesterday and rested and slept a lot. I didn't have a fever or anything but my head felt so drowsy and I didn't feel like moving around. My mother, my cousin and my brother are sick also. I decided to come to work even if I still wasn't feeling well 'cuz the sick atmosphere at home was making me sicker than I actually was.

I was feeling a bit drowsy yesterday morning so I didn't watch any movies and watch Goong instead. I was feeling better but what really made me felt better was when I watched a vcd and I was laughing so hard. No, it wasn't a korean movie or any other movie. It was "A Chit Shi Taw Nay Swel Myar" vcd. I can't stop laughing whenever I watch it. I always crack up when I watch "Mine Paung Ka Day" song with a girl showing around a big rich house. One of the reason why I rarely watch Myanmar vcds which aren't live shows. I was only interested in watching "A Chit Shi Taw Nay Swel Myar" 'cuz it's one of my fav Myanmar song. (I think I already wrote about this vcd already here)

Since the pc's broke, I can't contine watching Spring Waltz. Maybe I'll watch a few episodes at work. I only can watch ep 8 and 9 for now 'cuz the subs for the rest of the episodes aren't released yet. I am amazed at those subbers. I only did a sub for a 4 min vid with about 7 lines and it took me 3 hours.

One of the main reason why we all luv Korean drama is due to those translators and subbers. If their translation is bad, we wouldn't be able to understand or feel the plot or storyline. I stopped watching dramas on TV but I really enjoyed watching Firebird drama 'cuz that translator is talented. His translations for Eric's lines were so poetic and fit so well with Myanmar language.

I think when we watch kdrama, we all ignored the people who are behind the hardwork and only enjoyed the story or the pretty faces of the actors and actresses. I'm guilty of that also.

connection problem

It's been 2 days since the internet connection went down. I can barely read some topics in NativeMyanmar forum. At least it seems to be working fine now.

Today I felt a little sick in the morning 'cuz I only ate some Htan Thee Mote and drank coffee before coming to work. I got car sick due to coffee. Maybe I shouldn't drink coffee at home and drink it at work.

Just when the connection went down, I was watching Spring Waltz ep 4-7 and I am in luv with it now. At first I didn't like the actor and actresses and only watched it 'cuz of Daniel Hennery but now I like the casts except for the second actress whose spectacles really got on my nerves. At least I downloaded the ost before the connection went down and I haven't been listening to anything else for the last 2 days. I am not fond of instrumental music but I like some of the piano instruments from the ost. My fav songs are track 2 by LoveHolic and Cannonball by Daimen Rice. Normally, I wouldn't have listen to the Cannonball song if it wasn't included in the drama 'cuz I hardly listen to that kind of music. Here's the lyrics for Cannonball.

Cannonball Lyrics
Artist(Band):Damien Rice

Still a little bit of your taste in my mouth
Still a little bit of you laced with my doubt
Still a little hard to say what's going on

Still a little bit of your ghost, your witness
Still a little bit of your face I haven't kissed
You step a little closer each day
That I can’t say what's going on

Stones taught me to fly
Love,it taught me to lie
Life, it taught me to die
So it's not hard to fall
When you float like a cannonball

Still a little bit of your song in my ear
Still a little bit of your words I long to hear
You step a little closer to me
So close that I can't see what's going on

Stones taught me to fly
Love, it taught me to lie
Life taught me to die
So it's not hard to fall
When you float like a cannon..

Stones taught me to fly
Love, it taught me to cry
So come on courage
Teach me to be shy
'Cause it's not hard to fall
And I don't wanna scare her
It's not hard to fall
And I don't wanna lose
It's not hard to grow
When you know that you just don't know

I'm thinking of creating another blog to post in Myanmar (again). This time, I won't do much on design. I'll just choose a nice header pic and use a simple template. I am not good at designing blog.

It seems like I'm not good at anything. I don't much about designing, programming and I spent an hour on a javascript menu which was originally done using a software but my mind was unable to think about that.

I'm having hardware problems with my computer at home. I don't know anything about hardware. I don't want to send it to another shop. I'm scared of what happened last time at L.B. I want to reinstall Windows but my brother won't let me. Sometimes Windows won't start and I have to unplub the hard disk and plug it again but it didn't work last night. So I just shut the computer and pray for it to work normally next time.

Shinhwa - Once In A Lifetime mv's out. I downloaded this mv at lunch time and I had to wait four and a half hours to watch this 'cuz my lunch time was up and I had to return back to work. I have been repeating Shinhwa album for the whole week ever since it came out. No other album came into my winamp list except for A Cinderella Story album which I listened to for awhile yesterday. Anyway, here's the mv.

If you are going to watch from youtube, you'll have to pause the background song first before viewing. For some reason, the stop button doesn't appear in my browser.

Download the mv here.

Rain to Tour Asia

Rain to Tour Asia

Singer Rain will tour 11 Asian nations, holding a total of 35 concerts to mark the release of his fourth feature album. The tour is expected to be his first step toward becoming a world-famous star after he was named one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World” by U.S. weekly magazine TIME. StarM Planning, the organizer of the tour entitled “Global Project 1st Concert in the World - Rain Asian Tour,” said Wednesday that it will spend 40 billion won (40 million dollars) on the 2006/2007 Rain Asian tour. The agency added that staff members for Rain’s tour will include prominent stage designer Mark Fisher, who has worked for Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, U2, and other famous artists, and choreographer Jamie King, who has helped Rickey Martin, Britney Spears, and Madonna with their performances. In addition to state-of-the-art video and audio equipment, special lighting and effects technologies will be utilized to insure perfect performances. Rain is expected to draw more than 1 million audience members during his tour to the 11 nations of Korea. Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. “Considering our plan to show his tour performances through streaming files on the internet and to release DVDs, some 30 percent of the entire Asian population will come to directly and indirectly watch him perform,” StarM Planning said. “We will use the tour to validate Rain’s ability as a musician who can favorably compare with other world-famous musicians, and then we will organize a world tour for him.” Source :

Shall We Dance

I think my cd-writer is broken now. It doesn't work anymore and I might have to buy a new one next month. Why do I have to spend money for the computer almost all the time? I spent more money on the computer than for myself. I hardly buy beauty products, fashion accessories, clothing for myself but I'm always spending my money on the computer. Last month, we bought a UPS and a few months ago, we had to replace the motherboard. I hope I can talk my parents into buying a dvd writer.

At least I got to finish watching Shinhwa Comeback Special video from a cd I burned on Saturday and some fanmade Goong vids. I was watching Hyori’s latest vid and it ate up the pc’s memory so I deleted it. Now I wish I didn’t ‘cuz I can’t copy from the cd again.

I’m looking for the Shinhwa performance on youtube but I don’t see it online. I think I still have the vid in my pc. Maybe I should just upload it myself.

Here's Hyori's Shall We Dance vid. I think guys will luv this vid. I like the song but don't like the vid that much. Enjoy!

My Girl mv - Eng subbed

Okay. I'm lazy to write through the whole process of how I did this video. You can read it here at NativeMyanmar.

You can download the video or watch online at youtube.

My Girl mv (Alley version) English subbed

Shoot...I didn't watch back carefully after I encode the video. There are & words after two lines. It's too late for me to fix now. I'll just leave it like that. I don't want to reupload to youtube again.

tired morning

I don't know how others do it but if I have to numbers after numbers for a whole day, I will go crazy. Just 3 hours to typing a flight schedule is already driving me nuts. Another bad day again. I was late to work 'cuz 51 bus arrived late. Then I have to type for 3 hours. I'm lucky to have a lunch break. I barely checked my mail for a few seconds.

random thoughts again...

Sometimes I'm just really stupid. I have been wondering why my sitemeter status is so low and sometimes I got depressed about it. Today, I was editing my template and I realized that there's no code for sitemeter in my template at all. I must have overwrited it when I edited from Frontpage.

Yesterday the electricity was supposed to come from 2pm to 11pm but as usual, it went out at 9 pm and came back later 10:15 pm. I had to wait a long time for my sister to get off the pc and the electricity went out. So I spent the time reading this month issue of Fashion Image magazine. Sai Sai & Zu Zu Mg were on the cover for this month :). I was so happy to see his pics again. There are some singles shots of Sai Sai & Zu Zu Mg and then some couple pics. I luv the last pics featured in the magazine. Sai Sai was sitting on a bench and Zu Zu Mg was on him. It's a pretty romantic pose but if I see a real couple doing that outside, I might say they have no shame at all. If I'm a bad mood, I might shout "Get A Room!". I asked my sister to take some pics of Sai Sai and the couple pic today but I don't know whether she'll remember to do so. I'm thinking of mailing fashion image for the pic. Fashion Image website isn't updated anymore. So today, I searched on Google with the keyword 'myanmar fashion image' and guess who ranked no 2. Me!

You might think big deal but if you work for a web development company like me, search engine ranking is a huge thing. I'm thinking of adding my list to but I need to work on a description. I don't want to be listed as the usual...a personal website of blah.blah.blah.

Also included in the magazine is a conversation between Professor Khin Mg Win (A Thae') and Sai Sai. It's not like the usual interviews you read in journals and magazines 'cuz they both come from different background. The conversation will contine for next month 'cuz you can hardly call it a conversation. No offense but the doctor talks too much, praising Sai Sai (although he said he's not doing that because he's writing about it) and telling how much he like his music and lyrics and Sai Sai hardly talked much. Also the pics to Sai Sai are cute but they took space for the conversation.

Someone from Monywa requested the magazine to write about M (Minwoo) and Jang Woo Hyuk. Hah...we have the same taste but she's in Monywa. I want to know someone in Myanmar who like kpop music as much as I do. It's so hard to have conversations with my friends about kpop music.

Most of the times, I feel quite lonely. Even thought I'm always logged in Gtalk, hardly many people talks to me. Sometimes they just come to say hi and they stopped chatting. I can't blame them. I also don't know how to continue conversations with them. Sometimes there are people that I don't know coming to chat with me. I tried to be polite and reply back to them but after awhile I lost interest in them. I want new friends but I am sick of having to repeat saying the same things over and over again.

So most of my free times at work are spent surfing the net. Most of the times I spent a lot of times writing a post in NativeMyanmar or reading topics at soompi and shinhwachangjo. While surfing the net, I'll be watching videos I've downloaded at the same time.

So when I leave home, I'm alone again but I always put my thoughts to a song I'm addicted or Goong...etc to pass the time being alone. People might think I'm weird 'cuz I was always smiling to myself. Sometime I walk home with other people but I felt like an extra, not being included in their conversation or they don't listen to what I'm saying and talk only among themselves or about themselves. I feel like a fool trying to talk to them so I stopped doing that.

People only regard me as a girl addicted to Korean drama and Korean related. Just today someone was saying the meaing to a Korean word and I corrected him and another person said listen to her, she knows better..she's a Korean database (or something like that). It's not like I study them for a living but it had become my hobby. I can hardly concerate on any other things like American music, movies, Myanmar videos, etc. Half of the time, I don't know what people are talking about when they are discussing about a American film or a Myanmar video they watched. There are people who do this for a living like those people who write articles about Korean celebs and dramas in magazines and journals but I'm not like them. The information they provide are sometime outdated and incorrect. My sister said why don't you try writing but who's going to accept my articles anyway. I suck in Myanmarsar. My grammar is always wrong. I know people are being nice to me but if it was another person reading the reviews I've written at NVM forum, I will really comment that it's not interesting like those in the magazines.

I really should try to focus on improving my photoshop skills. I know I suck in Photoshop so I always say to myself to try to find tutorials online but when I'm surfing the net, I always forgot to search for them. I always take a long time to design a template while others can finish in an hour or two. I think the main reason is that I lack artistic taste (a nu pyin yar a myin).

Tomorrow is Kasone Full Moon Day so I have a day off..yay...I'm going to stay home and read books and watch movies on my day off. I'll try not to watch kdrama 'cuz I'll be watching kmovie ha ha...

And tomorrow is also the release date of SHINHWA's 8th album, State of the Art. I doubt that many views of my blog will be interested but if you plan to buy the album online, it's better to buy from Korea online stores rather than from other sites like yesasia 'cuz if you buy from Korea, the sales numbers get counted and who knows...Shinhwas will be winning the Daesang this year again. You can order the album from ShinhwaChangjo. Click here for details. I wish I can order but I just can't spare my money on an album. I don't get to spent much 'cuz I never get to use them all up. You all know the inflation in Myanmar. Last time I heard 1 dollar equal to 1400 kyats. It makes me depressed. At least I can look forward to their performances on TV. I am just repeating their last performaces in Japan. It's so good to see them back together again. The guy beside kept looking at me, probably thinking I'm weird 'cuz I'm singing along to How Do I Say performance, moving my hands and tapping my feet while watching the performace. If I was at home, I sing louder he he...although I don't know the exact lyrics. I woke my mother late one night while watching a Loveletter (it's a Korean game show) episode with Shinhwa and Han Ji Hye. I was laughing so hard at midnight and my mother thought something was wrong with me.

Here's the cover of their album. They have gotten more handsome over the year.

I should go home early. It's getting dark outside now.

Edit: I edited my spelling mistake for grammar now. Lol....I'm talking about grammar mistakes and I mis-spelled it.

Singers Seven and Kangta Achieve Success at MAA

Singers Seven and Kangta Achieve Success at MAA

Singer Seven gave a successful performance as a representative singer from Korea at the MTV Asia Awards (MAA) 2006. At the same event, the duo “Kangta & Vanness,” comprising Korean singer Kangta and Taiwanese singer Vanness Wu, a member of the group F4, made its debut. Seven won the Favorite Artist Award at the event, which was held at the Royal Paragon Hall in Siam Paragon in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 6 at 8 p.m. Singer Rain was last year’s winner of the award. The MAA is one of the largest music festivals in Asia, bringing Asian singers together. With 4,000 fans present, the show was hosted by Taiwanese singer Wang Lee Hom and Kelly Rowland, a member of the group Destiny’s Child. The Favorite Artist Korea was announced immediately after the opening act, attesting to the popularity of Korean pop music in the Asian region. Vanness Wu introduced the winner, saying that he was honored to give an award involving Korean music, which is the most popular these days. Seven expressed his gratitude in English to his Korean and Asian fans. He was the fourth singer to give a celebratory performance at the show. While introducing him, host Wang Lee Hom said he expected the Korean singer to give a performance "as hot as Korean kimchi." Clad in gold, Seven indeed presented a sensational performance. Seven spellbound not only his fans but also the entire audience with powerful dancing and singing. He presented “Passion” and the remix version of “I Know it.” Another Korean singer, Sean, who handed out the Style Award, said that officials from MTV praised Seven after the show and host Kelly Rowland was impressed by the explosive response he received. The passionate response was presaged by the fact that some 3,000 fans gathered at Don Muang International Airport when Seven arrived in Bangkok on May 5. Meanwhile, the duo Kangta & Vanness made its official debut at the MAA 2006. In the closing performance, they presented the title song “Scandal,” combining Kangta’s vocals with Vanness Wu’s rapping. In addition to Seven and Kangta, singers from other countries appeared in the MAA 2006, such as Con, Hoobastank, Lee Ryan and Tata Young. Major winners included Ricky Martin (Favorite Male Artist), Kelly Clarkson (Favorite Female Artist), the Back Street Boys (Favorite Pop Act), Green Day (Favorite Rock Act), Con (Favorite Video), and Simon Webbe (Favorite Breakthrough Artist). MTV Korea will air the MAA 2006 show on May 20 at 3:30 p.m.

Today's a good day for me. I get to see Sai Sai and as I logged into Shinhwa forum, I saw a video about Se7en winning the MTV Asia Award. I have completely forgotten about that award. I'm so happy for Se7en. He's a talented singer like Rain and M. I luv his third album. He performed Passion & I Know at the award. I'm still downloading the performace.

My Sister's Birthday Party

Today's my sister's birthday. She's 23 now. She had a birthday party yesterday at home. Since she doesn't have any money on her own, she couldn't treat them out so I suggested her to treat them moehingar. My cousin cooked the food and everybody else like it except for me. I dont really like mohingar excpt for the pepper mohingar at Kyauk Myaung. That moehingar is really delicious. I stil don't know the exact location of the shop. My father's friend always buys them for our family whenever he visits. We didn't get to take a group pic with Sandar 'cuz we were watching Myanmar vcds and gossiping about the singers and we forgot. She left early for her evening class at downtown. I got some tips for cloth design from Myat Hteik Tin. I have bought a couple of cloths but I still haven't go to my dress maker 'cuz I don't know what design I should make.

I was busy the whole morning cleaning up the house yesterday while my sister didn't even help me out. She's the one who was having the party and she spent the morning reading journals and washing her clothes. Out of all days, she had to choose Sunday to do laundry while I was wiping the floor. I got really pissed at her. I am never going to clean the house for her birthday party again if she even decide to do a party next year.

Sai Sai & Thet Mon Myint are shooting a movie MICT now. MICT had become a shooting scene for Myanmr film industry since everbody got tired of shooing at the universities. The funny thing is they never concerate on the classes that the casts are supposed to be attending at all. It's just shots of actors and actresses checking each other out, going to canteen, etc. I got tied of seeing MiCT used for such ridiculous acts in a Nine Nine video.

In my opinion, Sai Sai looks like Kim Jung Hoon, Yul Goong from Goong drama. I scanned his pic from Fashion Image and place it side by side with KJH and mailed my friends but none of them agree with me. I still think they look alike esp their smiles. Yul Goong's smiles warmed up the drama and so do Sai Sai although I never really dig his movies or vids. I'm only a fan of his music. Speaking of Sai Sai, I read in Myanmar Times that he's gonna release his diary to the public soon. The diary includes a love letter to someone who he never gave to. I hope the price is reasonable. I haven't read his first novel 'cuz the price was 1700 kyats and I didn't think it was worth it. Pretty expensive for a novice writer but many girls bought them 'cuz they like him.

Here's the pic that I sent to my friends. I know the KJH pic didn't look alike with Sai Sai but that was all I could find at home.

Busy Saturday

I'm too tired today. Normally I have nothing much to do on Saturdays so I always spent most of my times surfing the net, chatting and burning some cds. My usual schedule got messed up 'cuz I had a customer in the afternoon. She came at lunch time and I still haven't eat so I took her to canteen and ate with my friend. After lunch, we sat down and started doing work. Actually, it''s just editing flight schedules but it's too tiring. I don't know about her but I'm got tired even thought she was the one figuring out the correct schedules. I made a hint that office hour is over at 2pm so she left around that time. She said she'll be back on Monday.

I had to reinstall Windows yesterday 'cuz my computer kept freezing whenver I use photoshop. Now it freeze when I open too many files and open Nero buring software at the same time. Oh..well...I won't be using the cdrom for long so I won't reinstall again. I'm tired of having to reinstall so many softwares and plugins.

I was hoping to eat Kyarzan Chet today at Hlaedan but the time is already past 5pm and I still have some work to do. I had to upload some latest Myanmar vcd information on the net. I wish I can do that on Monday but my cusotmer will have a fit. He'll sending e-mails every hour till Monday. At least I got to know the latest vcd releases although I can't watch them. Let's see what's in the list.
1) Poe Ei San (no thank u)
2) Si Thu Lwin live show (2 cds...I haven't check it out yet)
3) Ta Myay Htae Hmar (sounds like those political stuffs on's a live show with singers who are from different races..i'm looking forward to Kaizar Tin Hmone's song. Hah...Si Thu Lwin's in it. I think he's Kayin. Cindy and Kyokyar are in the album also. Some of the singers wear traditional clothes. 2 cds again)

I'm trying to write a topic to share some songs I've uploaded on NativeMyanmar but I dont' hae time to post them all. I have been planning to do that all week. Like I said, my schedule's mess up. I don't have time so I will just post on Monday.

I still haven't upload the vcd infos. I think it'll be 6 by the time I leave. I hope I can still order Shan noodle. I always pass by the shop but never had time to eat. The food looks delicious.

Goong synopsis in Myanmar version

I just finished posting Goong synopis at NativeMyanmar forum. You can read it here.
Goong synopsis
It took me 2 day to write that 'cuz I wasn't satisfied with my translation.
If only I can concerate on writing new articles for my work like that. I have a whole month of news article to update. I am so bad at translating. It took me 2 hours to write a single paragraph summary. My mind works quicker when I'm writing drama reviews.

Currently listening to - Goong OST II

Electricity is Back in Yangon

I heard that we will be getting 24 hours electricity or near
24 hours in Yangon now 'cuz electricity had been cut off in Hlaing Tharyar Zone
due to the twister event a few days ago. The newspaper did not report in detail
about the event but I saw the pics of Max factory in Myanmar Times.  Although I'm glad that we get electiricty back now but I feel sorry for those who suffered from the storm.

I'm currently listening to a new singer call Danny. I think he's from Taiwan but I'm not sure. He sang in English and his music is like Se7en (and maybe Usher? 'cuz I don't listen to him that much).
